Objectives to present the national toys as well as the toys which are
popular in their countries and learn about the toys of other
nations and cultures
to reveal the history of the toys and induct them to the “Hall
of the fame“
to create the toys using the everyday materials and design
plays for them
to design the dolls for the particular stories and play them.
Activities Presentation of the toys of different cultures and playing the
games using the toys.
Puppet performance
Educational and cultural workshop in Museum of Houses for
Dolls
Workshop in Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw (traditional
toys)
3. Activities Workshop on the farm “Beavers’ valey”(rural tourism)
-learning about the old tools and devices using on the farm in
the past;
-making toys using simple materials e,g. hay.
Visiting cultural and historical sites getting acquainted with
Poland
Results
The participants
were familiarized with the various kinds of the toys and learn
about their history
understood the functions of toys
developed social cultural concepts and skills through a play,
strengthened communication and collaboration skills and
developed the relationships in their work groups
enriched their vocabulary
developed critical thinking and decision making skills
boosted self-confidence and self-esteem
designed “Toy hall of fame“
created the pages for the brochure “ Folk games and toys
around Europe“
