8 Lives, 8 Secrets. How Well Do You Know The People Who You Love?
Better Left Unsaid, by Joey Brenneman, is a complex roadmap of a play that begins
in Central Park on a strangely warm, foggy day in November. We follow eight
characters as their paths twist and turn in unexpected ways.
Better Left Unsaid is a story about how our lives are affected by the pieces of
information that we choose to withhold from the people we love. Sometimes
the same secret that protects one person damages another.
Better Left Unsaid has a multi-cultural cast of diverse ages and explores the
universal themes of family, love, relationships, parenthood, honesty and
fidelity.

Listen! This is a live event! We can surmise what and who our
audiences will be, but we can’t make any guarantees!
Anyone who tells you they can… well…lets just say we have
years of experience in the commercial online video world and
we know that game!
That said we do know that…
• 58% of our Facebook fans are female and 33% of our female
fans are between the ages of 25 and 44 - so we seem to be
hitting the “mommy sweet spot”
11. A first of it’s kind, interactive, live
streamed theatrical event
In addition….
• Judging from past experience there should be tremendous interest from the online
video community and the technology community at large (last project was covered in
Mashable, Truemors and blogs from all over the world). These populations tend to
skew male, ages 22-45 with above average incomes.
• There is tremendous interest in this event among the theater community. We have
already received significant coverage from major theater blogs and organizations.
Why does this matter? Take a look at the recently compiled demographic of people
working in off-off Broadway in NYC
– 85% of the OOB population holds a college degree.
– 68% of respondents are age 21-40
– 53% of respondents are female
– Income level of Off-Off-Broadway artists is near the national average
12. A first of it’s kind, interactive, live

Better Left Unsaid….
• Is breaking entirely new ground in the way it merges theater and
technology
• Is interactive in ways that few videos, and almost no theater pieces
can be
• Is written, directed and produced by women, bringing a much
needed female point of view to the world of online video, a world
which is almost entirely dominated by content created by men
• Will more deeply engage a 21st century audience
13. A first of it’s kind, interactive, live
streamed theatrical event
• Will allow our audience to literally become a part of the creative community via
Facebook, Twitter, chat rooms and video.
• Harnesses the inherent interactivity of the web
• Combines the excitement of live theater with the community of live streamed
video events
• Is a new dramatic paradigm that could launch an entirely new dramatic form born
of today’s technology
• Is a funny, smart, play about how our lives are affected by the pieces of
information that we choose to share or withhold from the people we love the most
14. A first of it’s kind, interactive, live
streamed theatrical event
• Better Left Unsaid has already
begun to build a significant
community.
– Over 161 people contributed to
our Kickstarter fundraising
campaign
– BLU is building on an already
vibrant Facebook and Twitter
community
