• low wages.
• special investment benefits.
• Flexible policies for foreign investors.
• Huge market size and new market space.
• Robust growth.
5. DIPP report states that there is increase of 24.5% of total
inflow of FDI as compared to 2014.
•increase in the job opportunities.
•economic growth of the country
•Development and betterment by IT comapnies
6. REAL ESTATE:
48,000 crore will be used for real estate development in smart cities
project.
Real estate occupies three fourth of smart city investment.
Building of URBAN DEVELOPMENT,infrastructure,better health
facilities,transport,housing and buildings.
Benefits to real estate from smart cities.
Gift city in Ahmedabad, Aurangbad, kochi, kerela, delhi, NCR, ponneri,
tumker are the few cities where infrastructure projects are rolled
under smart cities
economic zones with modified tax benefits and Real Estate investment
norms for more FDI investment will improve the growth of real estate
companies.
project like GIFT cities will attract more IT compnaies investments.
A growth of 10-15% is expected in real estate.
pricing appreciation and growth.
Huge funding and investment.
Benefits of country and citizend from Real estate
• 250 ancillary business dependent on Real estate will also boost.
• new jobs will be created.
• GDP of the country will increase.
• Highly used technology with better infrastructure will improve the living of
citizens.
• Better water management and energy management, with better parking
facilities and IOT used housing and buildings.
7. ICT COMPANIES:
Integrators – Provide unified and integration of multiple components (IBM,
oracle ,Accenture)
Network Service providers – Provide collaborative networks and data
analytics (CISCO)
Product providers – Products that act as main nodes of Connectivity
(Honeywell , Siemens )
Managed service providers – Provides monitoring , management and
consulting ( IBM , Infosys )
IBM, CISCO,HITACHI,EMC,DELL , Schneider Electric
Infrastructure Ltd, HCL TECHNOLOGIES are few companies
from ICT domain participated in smart cities project
According the study service proviider and DTT providers will invest more in
smart cities.
SMART CITIES deploy on ICT companies by tracking and analytics usage,
so that the facilities and amenities are utilized in best way and maximum
effectiveness.
From traffic to parking to health facilities everywhere there is a need of ict
and iot for the smarter cities.Even in the field of energy and utilities(
planning, utility and consumption) and for this ict is backbone from home,
cities, hospitals to e government.
Wifi network which will be back bone of the smart city services.
Reliance jio will out wifi services acroos 50 cities in 2016.
Bharti and vodafone will deploy wifi though a JV company Firefly.
Facebook with BSNL to deploy wifi in 100 area.
Google partenered hotspots in 400 railway stations
Eg. Powerful navigation system which have made driving easier for the
people. SMART device like navigation system in traffic infrastructure can
make driving a city more intuitive.
8. Huge market growth is expected 8-10% of growth is expected.
benefits of ICT
Comapnies
• Connecting devices,infrastructure and vehicles
everywhere in the city, can reduce water and
energy consumption and water management
and energy management can be done.
• improve safety
quality of life
make city greener safer and more effecient.
• wireless parking solutions, to reduce congestion
connected waste management to keep the city
greener and clean.
connected streeghtlights, connected shared
vehicles.
wireless smart grid solutions.
connected power and gas meteres to reduce
leak and waste
9. Citizens:
As a citizen, it is our job to preserve all the luxuries and facilities provided to us
Current urban population is 410 million which is exepected to grow 810 million
by 2050.
With increase in population more facilities will be required from energy to
housing for the citizens.
With this there is a need of improvement in infrastructure, water facilities,
energy, better enviornment and education, health facilities, e –goverenance,
ICT developed facilities for the citizens.
This is why government came up with 100 smart cities India and 500
AMRUT cities.
1) There will be improved productivity and services.
2) E-government services will help the citizen to deliver the services faster and
convenient, also at lower operating cost.
3) Waste management systems, electricity supply round the clock, recycling and
reduction of waste.
4) Water quality monitors, and leakage identification and prevention.
5) Renewable source of energy, smart meters, and green buildings.
6) Smart traffic parking, intelligent traffic management.
7) Better quality of life and economic growth.
8) More of the employment opportunities and jobs will be created with foreign
investors, ICT AND RETAIL ESTATE.

door opened for better employment and better lifestyle for the citizens.
IoT will help the cities to utilize the resources properly, & it will also help to
let us know when it is needed, which can help to save time, energy and
money.
Noise pollution, water management, smart lights, cloud based big data
automation, citizen information system, health monitoring, waste
management, everything will be monitored and controlled by IoT.
Smart manufacturing, asset optimization and management, Automation of
industries, Predictive maintenance.
