2. Due to the fact that we shot the majority of images in a field with the background of trees, it was difficult
to remove the background from the hair. In order to do this successfully I had to go through a long
process using the dodge and burn tools to remove it. This was a task that I had to conduct in order to
achieve the effect that I was aiming for. Along with this, I have learnt that in order to create a black
border around an object, I use the stroke effect and adjusted it to the thickness I desired.
3. To begin with, I wanted to create an
effect for the background that was
visually appealing. This process was
both time consuming and difficult,
due to the fact that each layer has
to altered. This is done by reducing
the opacity of the layer and then
changing colour of it. Even though
this was not the background the I
wanted to use as a result of the
image and the colours, however it
allowed be to play around with
photoshop to create the background
that I desire.
4. I have now inserted a
black rectangle to ensure
the visibility of the white
text.
Along with this, I have
replaces the QR code to
one that scans and
directs you to the song.
Due to the fact that there
is many different, vibrant
colours on this page, I
changed the main image
to black and white which
now creates a contrast
and stands out.
The ‘on’ has
been
removed
5. The images on the
digipak have also been
change to black and
white.
On the credits panel, I
have made it more
detailed and less time
sensitive.The social
media part is now
smaller.
Instead of having a photo panel which
when receiving feedback, I was told that
it was a waste of space and in order to
make better use of it, I included another
lyrics page with all the song that feature
on the album.
The image on the back cover has been replaced
with a mid/close up shot in black and white. Along
with this, I have taken another set of images to
ensure that it is not monotonous.
The name of the artist has also been
moved to the chest of the artist and I
have enlarged the song list to make it
more visible.
