I have chosen to host my museum gallery online using one of the most powerful bulletin board scripts which is “phpBB 3.0.8”. This system will allow me to create a database of images and descriptions for viewer to see. All users can register to the website to post comment with regards to the galleries and allow them to create their own topics, including pictures or video followed by descriptions and comments from other users. The decision was made to choose this system as it was requested by the Mercedes Benz museum and the idea was approved prior to the commencement of this project. Therefore I was allowed to go ahead with the plans without any limitations or restrictions in the clientele’s part. A conventional URL name had to be chosen for the project to be initiated and after several name check a conclusion was finally reached in naming the site the Mercbenzmuseum.com, as it was the most suitable name for the site, which was not already in use and was accepted by the client. A domain sever accepting php was also registered allowing unlimited bandwidth and space for the use of the site. The script itself for the museum gallery is written in php and it was carefully selected mainly for its automated action which allowed me to do little when it comes to updating and make changes to the system. The site has been created using a theme related to the project so it was fully customised to the organisations standards. On the front page a banner has been implemented on the top to make it outstanding to the viewers and that image will be presented on every page. On the main page there are different sections, sub-sections and subjects to choose form, this is explicitly targeted for the end users to navigate around. Every section of the site will permit the users to leave comments and conduct a discussion in regards to the subject. The site is truly easy to use for both experienced and inexperienced users that don’t really use internet; overall it is very user friendly system that would even encourage inexperienced users. Some pages will include a poll where users can leave their feedback about the page they viewed but it will also have some for administration purpose where technical question will be used so that we can improve the service and that we know what the users want in the future. This is the Customised design that we implemented in the project and i am really satisfied on how it turned up .the initial design was less attractive but after showing the design to random people and after getting their feedback we change everything and ended up with this design below The site will include: ,[object Object],This page includes pictures and descriptions of most of the Mercedes at the museum .it is relatively like a database of all the car but it will be more attractive to the end user and i reckon it will be more fun to navigate around seeing the car pictures. ,[object Object],This section will show the interview conducted by myself with all the managing directors at the museum. This was conducted in order for me to get an idea of what they wanted me to achieve for them .after several interviews i was finally focusing on a specifics details on how to start the project and how to deal with problems. ,[object Object],On this section a full list of all the cars and their year of manufacture will be provided for those who wish to know more about all the cars that were made and about the inventor who founded the brand name today know as luxury name. ,[object Object],Mercedes Benz full list of car is available from A to Z from the year 1886 when Mercedes Benz was first created to date. With time going and people forgetting about the past, not everyone know how many cars Mercedes Benz have made and when. Some car name won’t even be known as they probably don’t exist in our daily life. ,[object Object],This page includes the most unforgettable cars of all within the Mercedes range. it will contain a selected gallery of supercar with all their specifications.
