Lesson Plan in English
I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, 85% of the pupils will be able to:
1. Memorize a new nursery rhyme
2. Associate the nursery rhymes in their lives
3. Engage the pupils in singing and dancing the nursery rhyme.
II. Subject Matter
A. Topic: Reading Rhymes
B. Reference: Fun Time with Reading, Lydia L. Hilbero page 197-203
C. Materials: Visual Aids, Videos of Nursery Rhymes, Handouts
III. Procedure
A. Routine
1. Prayer
2. Checking of Attendance
3. Classroom Management
B. Review
Make the learners recall the past lesson which is about words that rhyme.
C. Motivation
The teacher will show words with pictures that rhymes
Bag-Jag Can-Fan Wall-Ball
a. Lesson Proper
1. The teacher will teach the nursery rhymes to her pupils. After learning the
nursery rhymes, student will be group into 4 and each will create performance
that will be shown in front of the class.
E.G. Twinkle, twinkle, little star
How I wonder what you are
Up above the world so high
Like a diamond in the sky
2. Application
The teacher will ask the pupils to give the words that rhyme from the song.
3. Evaluation
Underline the words that rhyme
1. Put off your cap
Then take a nap
2. Up there is my kite
Its color is red and white
3. Pop the corn in the pan
Then put them in a can
IV. Generalization
1. Generalization
Rhymes are words that end with the same sounds
2. Valuing
Reading rhymes are the stepping stone for reading comprehension.
Cooperation and participation are exercise.
V. Assignment
A. Motivation
Practice what the student learned

Completing rhymes

  • 1. Lesson Plan in English I. Objectives At the end of the lesson, 85% of the pupils will be able to: 1. Memorize a new nursery rhyme 2. Associate the nursery rhymes in their lives 3. Engage the pupils in singing and dancing the nursery rhyme. II. Subject Matter A. Topic: Reading Rhymes B. Reference: Fun Time with Reading, Lydia L. Hilbero page 197-203 C. Materials: Visual Aids, Videos of Nursery Rhymes, Handouts III. Procedure A. Routine 1. Prayer 2. Checking of Attendance 3. Classroom Management B. Review Make the learners recall the past lesson which is about words that rhyme. C. Motivation The teacher will show words with pictures that rhymes Bag-Jag Can-Fan Wall-Ball a. Lesson Proper 1. The teacher will teach the nursery rhymes to her pupils. After learning the nursery rhymes, student will be group into 4 and each will create performance that will be shown in front of the class. E.G. Twinkle, twinkle, little star How I wonder what you are Up above the world so high Like a diamond in the sky 2. Application The teacher will ask the pupils to give the words that rhyme from the song. 3. Evaluation Underline the words that rhyme 1. Put off your cap Then take a nap 2. Up there is my kite Its color is red and white 3. Pop the corn in the pan Then put them in a can IV. Generalization
  • 2. 1. Generalization Rhymes are words that end with the same sounds 2. Valuing Reading rhymes are the stepping stone for reading comprehension. Cooperation and participation are exercise. V.
