I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Qatar Biomedical Research Institute in Doha, Qatar. My research interest lies in the role of the tumour microenvironment in the regulation of the immune response in cancer and the applicability of immunotherapy. I am a postdoctoral researcher with 9 years of research experience in oncology, in particular in the field of tumour microenvironment and its role in cancer progression and metastasis. In my previous research I have investigated the molecular and cellular processes required for cancer cell migration and invasion, with an emphasis on the role of proteases in particular the matrix metalloproteinases.
