What’s their expertise? What do they want to know (even if not part of the call)? What are your next steps? Welcome everyone to Become a Masterful Coach. I’m Julia Stewart, Pres of the School of Coaching mastery. It’s Nov 1st, 2007 ~ We are recording ~ And I’m thrilled to have you here today! This eclass is sponsored by SchoolofCoachingMastery.com We’re the first and only school that prepares coaches in the IAC Coaching Masteries from the ground up and supports them to get the IAC Certified Coach designation, which has quickly emerged as the Gold Standard in the Coaching profession. Coaching mastery is something that lights me up, because I’ve had the privilege see the power it has to transform lives and ultimately? to transform the world ~ and do it fairly quickly. I believe coaching has appeared at this point in time, because new thinking is needed to solve new problems and to leverage new opportunities and with new thinking comes the need for re-orientation. Coaches facilitate new thinking and help their clients integrate it into their lives and their communities. And the result is that positive change happens easily and painlessly and opportunities are maximized. Today?, every leader needs a coach just to stay ahead of the curve. I’m really curious about why each of you is here today and what you’re looking to find out. I’m curious for instance where you are in your development as a coach. Are you new? Are you a veteran? Do you have coach training or certification? And what do you want to take away from this call? Would you like to share, please?
I want to introduce you to our chat panel and our annotation tools and at the same time, I’d love to know where you’re from, so please use the pencil option to point to your location on the map and then write the name of your town in the chat box in the lower left hand corner.
Each level of coaching transcends and includes the previous one. The competent coach focuses on the content, or the “what” of the coaching. The more advanced proficient coach focuses on the how of coaching. The even more advanced masterful coach has practiced their craft so much and learned it so well that they are free to “forget” the how and what and just focus on the client, or the “who” of the conversation. This fredome and increased focus alows masterful coaches to notice far more and the clues that they notice help them coach way more effectively.
