• Timeline – development of your genre/product.
• Detailed analysis of 3 similar products for your main task
focusing on the effect of technical areas and conventions.
Use specific examples, terminology, and images.
• Summary of main task research – clearly identify key
conventions of genre and form using images.
• Analysis of 2 similar products for both ancillary products
focusing on technical areas and conventions. Use specific
examples, terminology, and images.
• Summary of ancillary research – clearly identify conventions
of genre and form using images.
• Research into institutions – what company would produce
your product? How does it fit into the types of products they
produce? What type of company is this? Ownership.
• Questionnaire & summary of results.
• Audience research – at least 2 other research tasks e.g. focus
group, message boards, etc.
• Summary of audience research – what have you found out
about who your target audience is and how to appeal to
them?
• Audience profile – who is your ideal consumer – age, gender,
interests, etc.
• Presentation on similar product – narrative, conventions,
institution, audience, marketing.
• Analysis of promotional package – how is brand identity
created across a range of linked products?
• Production concept – initial ideas for your main product –
can be mood-board, mind-map, word-cloud, etc.
