1. Value Study Challenge Project
Project’s Purpose:
To demonstrate your ability to IDENTIFY specific
values (BLACK, GREY, WHITES) and UTILIZE drawing
tools to replicate those values into a graphite drawing.
2. Requirements:
● Must have a BLACK & WHITE image, chosen by the student, to be
used to create the drawing from
● The image must be divided in VISUAL HALF. The division must be
UNIQUELY done. (this means not straight up and down or across)
● There must be 8 SPECIFIC values represented in the drawing (these
will be written on the back of the drawing)
● Craftsmanship counts: Work is clean from smudges around the
border and has an artist signature
