I am a husband, father, Canadian historian, and most recently SSHRC postdoctoral fellow at the University of Western Ontario. I am interested in historical commodities in their social and environmental contexts. My latest research examines the history of biomass energy in rural Canada, and I have written about sodbusting and soil treatment on Canadian farms.
