1. The reason for needing this scholarship is so I can excel in every way. To earn this scholarship
I plan on working hard. All the steps in taking to get it will be worthwhile my hard work. I need
the scholarship to help pay for materials I need to graduate. The scholarship is to be brought in for
great work. It also can pay for a lot of things for school, such as housing, food, and clothing.
I would take all the actions on becoming great. Another reason for achieving this is the point of just
having free money.
Another good reason is to help pay for my books. The books is the most important thing in school
without books you will not pass and not have the key tool to study with and focus. The scholarship
is money putting into your pocket for extra stuff u need. Money given from the state to benefit you in
the long run so your parents want have to work so hard for you. I wouldn't want my parents to pay
for all my stuff anyway. So it will be an opportunity of a lifetime to get it because nobody in my
family got that opportunity. If I get the scholarship I will be thankful about it and very happy of
accomplishing one of my goals I worked very hard for. I will not let anything out the way get in
the way of me pursuing my goal. When I receive the scholarship I will be in shock and amazement
of this opportunity because out of a million years I wouldn't think I can ever get that.

3. Scholarships To Achieve My Educational Goals
The opportunity of scholarships would help me achieve my goals of going into education by
lightening the financial burden school has put me under. Work and school consume most of my
week but any extra time is donated to COS young republican club and donating blood. I am the first
in my family to attend college, I strive to do better for myself than what I was born into. A
scholarship would help me postpone student loans for as long as possible and allow me to earn my
teaching credentials.
My current education goals are to earn my bachelor's degree to begin teaching at an elementary
school level. My education wouldn't stop there, I would continue to attend school to work towards
my masters degree to teach at a college level. My dream is to teach history and to create a love for
it in my students....show more content...
I put in time and effort for College of the Sequoias young republicans club to support my city and
my political party. Because of work and school I can't put in as much time as I would like so, I also
donate blood as often as possible.
As a young child I was surrounded by substance abuse, violence, and poor life choices that put me
in foster care. My mom worked hard to save me from those situations and now I work hard
everyday to build a better life for myself. As the first person in my family to attend college my goal
is not just to graduate at the top of my class but to move past them and achieve my life's ambition to
become a teacher; not held back by my family situation.
All things considered, my need for a scholarship is high. A scholarship would allow me to focus on
school rather than on making ends meet; enabling me to get through school at a quicker pace,
ultimately attaining my goal of

4. Fine Arts Scholarship Essay
I started at taking art classes in high school to explore how I might use art to change and shape
the world around me and I started to learn the demands and possibilities of what art could do and
what I could do. From fifth grade into my sophomore year college my mother had cancer and
various types at that, and so 50% of my responsibilities were home and the other 50% were at
school. I ended up missing school often, but I managed to graduate high school in three years so my
mother could see me graduate because it was one of her dreams. After high school graduation, I
quickly jumped into community college starting in the summer. In college, I had responsibilities at
home but I found my self always thinking and making art. I started taking as...show more content...

everything I can to help someone out. I also am very determined to succeed, one thing that I've
always strived to do is to keep trying. I'm the type of person who believes perseverance is the
absolute key to success. Throughout my life, I have had many great opportunities to help shape
myself into the person I am today, which would be of great benefit if I was a part of the Student

6. How Would A Scholarship Impact My Life
A $3,000 scholarship would greatly impact me and make a big difference in my life. Education
has always been extremely important in my family, and a college education is highly valued in my
community. Because of this, my parents have been planning on me going to college since before I
was born. I am so grateful for their endless support. However, moral–support alone will not help me
get into college. Since I was a child, I've always thought of college as a necessity, so I've been saving
up for years. Besides working hard in school and being strongly academic, I've also been working
since I was 12 years old to save money. My first job was babysitting, and I got CPR–certified and
registered by my city. I've been working hard my whole life to

7. Why Are You Applying For A Scholarship?
Write an essay (no longer than 200 words) to explain why you are applying for a scholarship.
Because some scholarships require financial need, you may want to include information on your
family's financial situation.
Coming from a single parent household finances are very tight. My father is not fiscally involved
and my mother holds two jobs to support her family. It's clear to me that there will be a heavy
burden of student loans. A scholarship would allow me the opportunity to become a first generation
college graduate. I have a strong desire to become a better person, to better provide for my family by
pursuing higher education. Becoming a business or civil rights lawyer has been my ambition since I
was a little. Discuss your passion

without taking student loans. My mom has been a single mom for eighteen years and has supported
me, my brother, and grandparents. She does not receive child support on a regular basis and does
everything on her own. Unfortunately, my younger brother is an accident–prone child and has
racked up some high medical bills throughout the years. For countless years she has worked two
jobs to support everyone and provide anything within reason. My mom is currently unemployed due
to the downturn in the oil field in west Texas. Now she has taken on the challenge of remodeling
and flipping houses. I work a few partial jobs throughout the year to help my mom

13. Essay Ap English Class
It has been an interesting semester of AP English. I wrote a total of four essays, each one seem to
be better then the last. My best essay had to have been my college scholarship essay. The prompt I
used for my scholarship essay was "something I know now that I wish I knew when I was
younger". I talk about how failure is something everyone should experience, because it helps you
learn from your mistakes and gain valuable experience. I truly believe in this concept, which helped
me, dive head first into this essay. Something else that made this essay standout, as my best work
is that I was able to get my point across and use some personally experiences that helped drive the
point home. In summary, my college scholarship essay is probably the best evidence of my hard
work because I put a lot of thought and effort into writing it. Making this portfolio made me think
about my writing skills and what level of writing I am on. I think that I made some improvements to
my writing, but I could have done better. Some improvements I made during this semester would
be better organization; I was able to produce my own outline that actually helped me while I was
writing my essay. Another improvement that I made would be the ability to find three main points
that could be argued in a paper. Even though there was improvement in some aspects of my writing
there are some areas that could use a little work. I need to do a better job of supporting my main
points. I am able to find the main

14. Why I Deserve This Scholarship
I should be chosen for this scholarship because I am a positive, hard working student who is very
involved in my school and my community, and has future goals. I believe that I hold all those
characteristics, plus many more.
School is very important to me. I show this by working hard in my classes and being involved in
extracurricular activities. I have received all A's throughout my high school years and my teachers
can always depend on me. At school I am a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletics, Math Club,
Smith Cotton United Foreign Language Club, Key Club, Show Choir, National Honor Society, and
the Tennis team. I enjoy activities where I can learn and have fun at the same time.
School to me though is not just about getting the good grades, it is also about reaching out and
helping other students. Through the activities that I am involved in, I try to be a leader, but not
in the normal ways that one might think of. I am a leader by being nice to others, praising them
when they are doing something well, and by showing the right example. People will respect and
look up to you if you show them love and compassion. To me that is what a leader is all about. Not
only do I work hard at school to get good grades and to be a leader, but I also work hard out of
school. For the past three years I have been working for the Wheeler and Woolery families. During
my time with these families, I have babysat Ms. Woolery's two children, worked at the Pork Place

When the opportunity showed up I took it. I came to New York City to study film. But I have to

I choose to pursue an agriculture degree because I have always felt drawn to the field. I have

The foreclosure crisis is the second major financial dilemma of the twenty–first century. To solve
this, the roots of the problem need to be dug up and exposed followed by replanting with an
appropriately improved regulatory system to help build stronger roots for the future. It seems that
the free market system can't be free anymore given its intertwining roots extend way beyond
domestic to international financial systems. There are two fundamental causes to the latest credit
crisis: 1) poor quality securitized mortgages and 2) insufficient underwriting for credit poor
borrowers. Secondary (downstream) problems making the financial crisis more complex include
underemployment and business failures. Many banks,...show more content...
Republicans are the pioneers of fiscal conservatism in government, and desire above all else a free
market even with the enormous risk of financial collapse. The country already is in increasing debt
and the money needed to fix a free economy does not exist. And therein lies the problem: America
has only been as successful as it has proven to be because of invention and innovation in technology
and the structure of the economy itself. To restrict innovation would weaken the economy, but
keeping it too open led to the current fiasco. Finding middle ground is the only way to go. America
is not alone with this problem, it needs every country's help to recuperate and rebuild.
The government's attempt to stem the tide of foreclosures and arrest the incredible fall in home
prices have been, in a word, pathetic. One proposal suggested was for banks to offer low 4%
mortgages –– a step in the right direction. But in extending support to buyers of homes, it
completely ignores the problems of millions of families that already have mortgages. As a result, it
does little to halt the surge in foreclosures. With more home owners likely to default this year, the
situation is far from recovery in spite of a wall street surge since March of this year. The new rates,
and lower monthly payments, would be especially helpful for homeowners with negative equity
(they owe more on their mortgages than their homes are worth). Such underwater borrowers, prime
