TOO
‘Too’ means there is moreof something than we wantor can handle. It
shows a NEGATIVEOPINION.
It’s too hotand I don’tlike it.
A common mistake is to use ‘too’ as a positive term. Remember it is
NEGATIVE.
It’s too hot! I love the summer! WRONG
Itis also importantto not use ’too’ when wemean ‘very’. Wedo not say:
My family is too big
Because that means there are too many people and you possibly have to kill
some of them. ‘Too’ is the idea that there is more than wecan live with,
more than we can handle.
There are too many people in the room, I can’tbreathe.
We can use ‘far’ with ‘too’ to add emphasis:
She is far too busy to attend the meeting today.

‘Enough’ means you have what you need.

With‘to + verb’
We often use ‘enough’ and ‘too’ in a sentence with ‘to + verb’:
