2. Mission Statement
• My magazine will give the audience an insight into the Rock music
industry. The magazine will be just about Rock bands and Rock
culture. It will feature current bands/artists as well as the older ones
too. The age group will be aimed at 15-20 year olds but mainly male
with a 70% dominance by the male audience. The magazine will
include content from 1st person interview with bands and artists to
reviews of albums and singles. The magazine will be published
monthly with glossy pages. The review and interviews will be in full
detail for the audience if they want to become a specialist in a
band/artist. It will provide the audience with inside knowledge of
their favourite bands, up to date information on artists, reviews of
albums and gigs with well known and not so well known artists
within the rock scene. The magazine will have the latest trends with
the rock community with knowledge about it.
3. Mood Board
By looking at the data that I collected from my questionnaire, I have decided
that my music magazine will be a rock music genre. I have also decided that I
am going to make a mood board on what reflects my target audience in this
music genre.
My magazine will be aimed at 15-25 year olds with 70% of them being make
and 30% female. My target audience listen to music regularly and would go to
live gigs/festivals. They also like reading about the 1st person interview about
bands/artists that they like to listen too.
