- Essay which responds to a quotation from a famous author. This does not requires a critique of Adam Smith (18th century economist) but is a coded way of referring to the arguments about virtues of a free market economy versus a state-controlled economy. The answer expected would present and evaluate these arguments and mention modern influential economists.
