Whenever I start a project I find to have a solid foundation requires having clear roles and responsibilities. In enterprise social at first you’ll find ownership is very squishy. I’ve already told you that controlling social is like herding cats and herding cats is often what IT thinks it has to do. Rather than have HR, Corporate Communications and various departments fight over the enterprise social network, why not come up with an approach that supports that the platform isn’t owned by one group, but is a shared responsibility that is primarily driven by those who are actively involved. There is a role for legal, a role for security, a role for IT, and a role for corporate communications. In the ESN itself I think you’ll typically identify roles in the network… This is how it started...

This discussion will be a means of collecting important use case information about MyCWU from you, the student users. There are other classes of MyCWU users as well (for example instructors, course schedulers, graduation requirement specifiers, financial aid managers, registrar staff members,...), but we'll focus on Students for now. For each of these use cases, state the steps a Student will typically follow to carry out the use case. You can do this in outline form. For example: (goal) keep informed as to service outages that may affect me (use case 1) obtain list of planned outages and closures on the MyCWU home page, observe the list within the box "Service Outages and Closure" if the word "More..." is present, click it, to go to the Outages and Closures page with the complete current list of outages and closures (use case 2) obtain details of a specific planned outage or closure on the MyCWU home page or Outages and Closures page, click on any one of the listed outages and closures to see its details (use case 3) communicate with person responsible for specific outage listing when the details for a single outage or closure are showing, see the email address at its bottom or the name of the source at its top send an email to this person Just need to finish 3 parts: l, m, n. Slice up your Microsoft 365 Tenant with Administrative Units

Microsoft 365 M365 Management Made Easy Do you struggle with administering your Microsoft 365 tenant? Have you ever wished there was an easy way to segment your tenant so you could delegate permissions more granularly to group or site admins? Microsoft has introduced Administrative Units and they are a great start to creating boundaries within your tenant for user and group administration but are they enough? What about the other Microsoft365 services not covered by Administrative Units? Microsoft has also announced they’ll be introducing custom roles for Microsoft 365. While currently very limited, they do promise that you’ll be able to get more granular with the permissions you want to assign. CoreView helps you to easily manage Microsoft 365 by combining multiple Microsoft Admin Centers into a single view so you no longer need to log into multiple admin centers to complete everyday tasks. With Virtual Tenants (like OUs for Azure AD), you can also segment your tenant by geography, department, or any other AD attribute to limit the admin scope. Virtual Tenants can be applied to any Microsoft 365 object, so they’re not just limited to users and groups. CoreView also has very granular permissions that allow you to adhere to the least privilege access policy recommended by Microsoft. CoreView permission sets can get as granular as a single attribute without giving the delegated administrator permission to do anything else. You’ll also see how you can easily delegate the running of PowerShell scripts so once the script is created, anyone with proper CoreView permissions can execute it.
