I. (U) Situation.
a) (U) Area of interest. The Frisco Highline Trail in Springfield Missouri will comprise the area
of interest for this operation.
b) (U) Area of Operations: Frisco Highline Trail
i. Terrain. The terrain in the AO includes a paved and partial gravel trail
surrounded by woodland areas throughout the parts of the trail.
ii. Weather. Inclement weather will directly impact the primary and secondary routes of
travel. Lows will be in the mid-fifties and highs will be in the high sixties. The
weather will affect outdoor training.
a) (U) Enemy Forces: N/A
b) (U) Friendly Forces:
i. 2LVL UP: The bear BN conducts operations from 12Jan15 to 10MAY2015 at
various training locations and sister college's campuses to prepare the MSIIIS for
follow on summer training assignments and all MS levels advancement to the next
Military Science Level.

ii. Commander's Intent.
a) 1LVLUP : Alpha and Bravo CO conduct tactical foot march planning at
OBJ Salkutsa NLT 261545March2015 IOT facilitate future operations for
tactical foot marches and prepare cadets for tactical exercises at CLC
iii. Adjacent Units.
a. No adjacent units will be used to complete this mission
iv. Civilian Considerations. The activities will be conducted on a public trail
individuals need to be aware of civilians on the trail at all times. Cadets should always
maintain military bearing.
Attachments and Detachments. N/A
II. (U) Mission.
a. 1PLT conducts tactical foot march planning at OBJ Salkutsa NLT 02201524 IOT facilitate
future operations for tactical foot marches and prepare cadets for tactical exercises at CLC.
III. (U) Execution.
a. Commander's Intent.
i. To facilitate an environment where the ROTC Cadets can learn the general practical
knowledge of a tactical foot march.
b. Key task.
i. Coordinate with NCOIC/OIC for follow on lab for opord
ii. Disseminate ROE cards
iii. Conduct Planning
iv. Ensure cadets attending are cognizant of all information prior to execution.
c. End State.
i. All Cadets understand the general movements of a tactical foot march and are
prepared for tactical foot march.
d. Concept of operation.
i. We will accomplish this mission in 4 phases:
1. Preparation and Planning.
a. this phase will begin with the delegation of the mission and the
gathering of the intelligence and equipment to complete the mission
with C/S4 and C/S3 this phase will end at 1530 at first formation
2. Movement/Gathering at OBJ Salkutsa
a. This phase will begin at first formation when accountability will be
taken. The Lab OIC and NCOIC will give a quick overview of the
timeline. Then the PL and PSG will move to receive the OPORD, and
Sls will move to brief their squads on necessary information. This
phase will end when the OPORD is disseminated to the PL and PSG
at 1540

3. Planning/Training
2)This phase will begin when the OPORD is disseminated to the PL & PSG
a.PL and PSG will begin their planning and setting up of TMK. OPFOR
squad will receive briefing from OIC/NCOIC. Disseminate their
information NLT 1615 to Sls. Supervise till final formation. This phase
will end after final formation.
b.Sls will begin initial tactical foot March explanation and ROE training.
They will receive the OPORD NLT 1620. Disseminate OPORD NLT
1700. This phase will end after final formation.
4. AAR/Return to AO
a.AAR will be held NLT 1730. C/NCOIC and C/OIC will return to the
department to ensure all logistical items are returned. This phase will
end with the calling of reports and securing all equipment.
e. Scheme of Movement and Maneuver.
i. First formation will be held in at the entrance of Frisco highline trail.
ii. Once accountability has been taken, cadets will move on to the trail in this order from
front to rear.
iii. Alpha Company 1st squad then 2nd squad followed by Bravo Company 1st squad, 2nd
squad, and 3rd squad.
iv. Once planning and briefing is complete, an AAR will be conducted upon final
formation. Cadets will be dismissed from this location.
v. The MSU ROTC van will be used for this mission in order to transport needed
logistics and for personnel transportation if needed.
f. task to subordinate units .
i. S1:
1. T: Provide the attendance list for lab and receive the completed attendance once lab
has concluded.
2. P: Ensure cadets are attending the events they are required
ii. S2:
1. T: CRM Development
2. P: Ensure all measures are being taken to secure cadet safety
iii. S3:
1. T: Coordinate recon and logistical information such as grid coordinates for
designated lab.
2. P: Provides Lab NCOIC and OIC with appropriate resources to successfully
conduct tactical foot March lab.

iv. S4:
1. T: Coordinate to take water jugs from the department to OBJ Salkatusa
2. P: Cadets are hydrated for movement and have availability to a water source.
v. S5:
1. T: Take pictures as necessary
2. P: provide MSU Bear BN with plenty of social media opportunities.
vi. S6:
1. T: Coordinate with S1 IOT guarantee every cadet makes it safely to the
OBJ. be a POC for the BN in regarding directions
2. P: Cadets do not get lost or diverted
g. (U) Coordinating instructions.
i. Time.
ii. See Attachment (D)
iii. Coordinate squad's movement to OBJ Salkutsa
iv. Maintain the condition of any equipment used throughout the mission.
v. Be available for communication with C/NCOIC and OIC at all times.
vi. Uniform: ACU's, Boots, PC, Kevlar, flick, assault bag packed to standard
vii. ROE: Per ROE Card
viii. Reports.
1. Accountability of all participants
2. Sensitive items check
3. Real World Injuries / CASEVAC
IV. (U) Sustainment. 1PLT will provide all necessary equipment and supplies for training. There are
limited transportation assets that can be used for cadet movement; however, at times Cadets
may be required to move via their privately owned Vehicle (POV). Cadet staff and command
teams are responsible for acquiring, maintaining, and returning all equipment used for training.
Requests for support must be submitted in a timely manner in order to facilitate training.
a. Logistics:
1. Class 1 Cycle : N/A
2. Each cadet is in charge of bringing individual water source
3. Trans : POV
4. Services : None
a. Personnel :
i. Personnel will be in their respective squads with the exception of these
individual that will be opfor they are Guy, Joseph, Calvillo, Alexander, Robinson
Marshall, and Benedict, David., Cook will be a navy seal See Attachment C.
a. Health Service Support:
i. Primary: Self Aid
ii. Secondary: Buddy Aid

iii. Tertiary: CLS-certified cadre will administer needed aid.
iv. Quaternary: Cadet (s) will be transported to Taylor Health and Wellness.
v. Quinary: If Taylor Health and wellness cannot administer the needed aid, the cadet
will be taken to the nearest hospital. See Attachment (A) for strip map.

a. Command
i. Location of Commander. The commanders of both Alpha and Bravo Company will
be moving with their squad and participating as regular cadets in all phases of the
mission, excluding first and final formation.
ii. Succession of Command. OIC, NCOIC, PL, PSG, 1SL, 2SL, 3SL
b. Control.
i. Command Post. N/A
c. Signal.
i. Primary method of communication will be Cell Phones and direct verbal
communication. Secondary will be messenger. Tertiary will be Email.
