12. Where does the money for technology connectivity come from? The Universal Service Administrative Company manages the Schools and Libraries Program of the Universal Service Fund, also known as E-RATE.
13. What is E-RATE? This program makes discounts available to eligible schools and libraries for telecommunication services, Internet access, and internal connections. School districts must create and maintain a technology plan and this fund then pays for the discounted services.
14. Why do we need continuously improved technology in the district? Technology is an ever evolving resource for learning and teaching. Continuing to upgrade and improve services, SPS creates global learners who can actively contribute to our 21st century world.
