2. I am sleeping beauty. When I was born
fairy’s from across the land came with
gifts of beauty, wit and intelligence.
3. All except the wicked fairy. Unwanted and
unwelcome she was angry and wanted my people
to suffer. She put a curse on me. On my eighteenth
birthday I would prick my finger on a spinning
wheel and sleep for 100 years!
4. For 17 years I lived happily in my castle
spending my days walking around the lake.
5. On my 18th birthday people from around the
land came to celebrate. We had a beautiful
ball and we danced and laughed all night.
Until I was given a surprise present, the
most beautiful spinning wheel. Unaware of
the curse I pricked my finger and fell into
deep sleep.
6. I woke up in a strange world full of strange
moving boxes, strange people carrying odd bags
and line upon line of shops. It was the most
wonderful place in the world. Everyone was so
happy. I shopped and shopped trying on all the
beautiful clothes, shoes and bags.I wanted to stay
there forever.
7. Everything was wonderful but then I felt this strange tugging
sensation. The lovely shops, the beautiful bags the stunning dresses
began to disappear. I woke up back in the castle with this strange
man looking at me.
8. He told me he was my prince and we were to be married.
Who did he think he was waking me up from my amazing
world and then telling me we were going to be married?
Needless to say I sent that idiot to far far away.
9. I went to see Father but can you believe I had slept
for 100 years and Father was long gone. I was now
queen. To celebrate my coronation I built the most
spectacular building. And what did I call it?
