1. Advert analysis Imran Khan - Unforgettable We based our advert on this style model from the album Unforgettable. The cut out images work well on the page as the images are in colour. The black and white contrast between the font and the background work well and advertise the product well. Instead of using different images we used cut up ones of the same image, we felt this worked better as the images merge into one. The sports jacket and sunglasses the singer is wearing reflects the genre of music he creates, I have found that this is a common theme throughout all the adverts I have analysed. The artist is displayed in bold colours, this makes the audience want to buy the product.
2. Soul sanctuary- Afterlife This album advert is very basic but the colours do contrast on the page to attract the audiences attention. The band logo is displayed in red, this could link to the genre of the band and possibly create a colour connotation to suggest anger or blood. The font is bold to elaborate on the band name and the font above this has an edgy look to it. There are no images on the page which is unusual for an advert, the whole theme of the advert is kept quite simple and gothic.
3. The advert immediately becomes eye catching with the bright pink bubblegum background. This relates to women/females which is preferably Madonnas target audience. The album title is written in bright blue, which we associate as a male colour, this could suggest she is targetting both audiences. Madonna is photographed wearing a black outfit which is revealing and contrasts with the background. She is wearing leather and a wrestlerâs belt; this shows off her masculine side and shows how versatile she is attracting both male and female members of the public. The pose she is pulling is almost seductive yet masculine at the same time. The advert appears a little cheesy and tacky, if I saw this, I don't think it would encourage me to buy the product.
