The climate in Anchorage is
cold in the winter, fall, and
early spring. Anchorage is in
the Continental polar area.
Anchorage gets snow in

fall is about 70 inches! The
temperature is sometimes in
the negatives!

   In mid-spring Anchorage can
get nice and warm. Usually the
temperature is around 60 ° to

Anchorage is in the west
of the Rocky Mountains
and has a North Pacific
coastal climatethat
carries warmer air to
south and southcentral
parts of Alaska.

Anchorage is near the
Cook Inlet which leads
to the Gulf of Alaska.
Anchorage has a
warmer climate than
most of Alaska
because it is warmed
by the Pacific Ocean
and the warmer air
gets trapped by the
Chugach Mountains
and Alaska Range.
The high has gotten lower since
the early part of the month. On
the first day, it was around 30°F
