The main city is SAINT Denis and we live 87 (eighty seven) kms from Saint Denis, the capital city. Saint Paul on the west coast and Saint Pierre on the south coast are the 2 other main cities. Our island is a tropical island. We are near the tropic of Capricorn. We have 2 seasons: a dry season during the "southern winter" ,it is from May to November, where it is usually fine (21-28 ° C on the coast). And a rainy season in summer, from December to April (26-32 ° C on the coast) that’s the time of tropical depressions. Average temperatures vary according to the altitude : it’s colder when you go up.

Half of the island, the East side is very wet, it rains a lot and it’s rich in waterfalls and green landscapes. The other side, the west coast is drier, there are beaches and the weather is nice most of the year.
