1. Beautyful Waves Inc. is a Safe Harbor for girls who age out of the foster care system and for girls who are at
risk for homelessness or do not have a consistent support system. Beautyful Waves is a home for the young
women who are tired of couch hopping or living out of a suitcase. We are a community of mentors,
volunteers, role models and leaders that understand "family" doesn't have to be related. Most importantly,
we are a safe place where girls can focus on learning the skills they need to have a stable place of their own
someday. Our Beautyful Waves community is dedicated to providing the skills, support systems and
opportunities needed for these young girls to transition into meaningful and productive adults.
Mission: To provide encouragement, hope, support and guidance for self-sufficiency while successfully
meeting the transitional needs of young girls aging out of the foster care system or at risk for homelessness
 National statistics state there are over 350,000 kids in foster care
 Over 11,300 of them live here in Missouri
 Over 20,000 youth age out of foster care each year
Without adequate resources for these girls, crime goes up, drug use increases, homelessness runs
rampant, suicide is likely and emotional trauma is what these young girls have to look forward to. This
journey could be long and solitary. Beautyful Waves Inc. is dedicated to stopping this cycle!

2. Offering growth opportunities such as education and help developing their personal and marketable job skills
3. Helping young girls develop healthy supportive relationships
4. Providing life skills they need to excel as young adults and not just those skills they need to survive
5. Encouraging citizenship opportunities and community involvement
6. Instilling Fearless Faith within each girl as they become independent adults
