Outlook for the day
In coming session, however, investors may be
seen in indecision as to whether to continue
buying or book profits at such high levels. FII
liquidity is seen strong and boosting market
sentiment. Global cues are also supporting the
trend. 6,150 shall be crucial deciding level in
near term, and index is likely to witness further
buying above this level. Above 6,150, likely target
is 6,175-6,190, while below 6,100, likely target is
6,050-6,025.
The S&P BSE Sensex and
theNifty extended intraday gains towards
the end of the session on Wednesday and
closed nearly 500 and 150 points higher
respectively as foreign institutional
investors pumped in dollars on hopes
of interest ratecuts by the Reserve Bank of
India at its policy meet next month.
The 30-share index registered its biggest
gain in terms of points in at least one year
to close at 20,215.30, up 493.01 points or
2.50 per cent. It touched a high of
20,241.96 and a low of 19,798.18 in trade
today.
The Nifty closed at 6,142.25, up 146.85
points or 2.45 per cent. It touched a high
of 6,157.10 and a low of 6,018.85 in trade
today.
The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 1.59
per cent and the S&P BSE Smallcap Index
was 0.96 per cent higher.
Among the sectoral indices, the S&P BSE
Bankex surged 4.04 per cent, the S&P
BSE Realty Index rallied 4 per cent, the
S&P BSE Capital Goods Index gained 3.17
per cent, the S&P BSE Oil & Gas Index
was up 2.22 per cent and the S&P BSE
Auto Index was 2.05 per cent higher.

NIFTY OPTION OPEN INTEREST CHANGE CHART
The option data suggests that the market participants are currently
visualizing the 6200 mark on the higher side. Very high CALL writing at
6200 Strike price will stop market to move beyond 6200 mark. On the other
side we can see equal PUT writings on 5700 to 5600 strike price. This
indicates that NIFTY down move would be restricted below 5600 mark. Last
session’s option data indicated that NIFTY can have a range of 5700 and
6200 in near term.
