Hindustan Unilever shares fell for the
second day on worries that it will face
higher royalty payments to Unilever PLC.
Concerns came after Unilever's Indonesian
subsidiary, Unilever Indonesia, has agreed
to pay a royalty payment to the parent
company.
The strong gains in Tata Motors propelled
the BSE Auto index. Jaguar Land Rover's
global retail sales rose 14% in November
driving Tata Motors shares up by 4%.
ITC, India's biggest tobacco
company, plunged 4% today after the
company has been down weighted as part
of a regular FTSE quarterly review.
The FTSE All-World Index Series is the
large/mid cap aggregate of 2,800 stocks
from the FTSE Global Equity Index Series.
It covers 90-95% of the investable
market capitalization. The changes will be
effective at the close of Friday.
Yesterday we clearly mentioned that If
Outlook for the day markets trades below 5923 then one can go
short with the support of 5955 and 5960.
The BSE Sensex ended lower for the fifth straight
day on Thursday suggesting the continued
consolidation in the markets after the sharp up
move that took the Nifty to a 23-month high
earlier this week.

lower at 19,229 while the broader Nifty declined 5851.50 -36.50 -0.62%

The option data suggests that the market participants are currently
visualizing the 6000 mark on the higher side. Very high CALL writing at
6000 Strike price will stop market to move beyond 6000 mark. On the other
side we can see equal PUT writings on 5500 to 5800 strike price. This
indicates that NIFTY down move would be restricted below 5800 mark. Last
session’s option data indicated that NIFTY can have a range of 5800 and
6000 in near term.
