Growing up as a little boy I've always wanted to become a culinary arts top chief. That's because
I've been in the kitchen helping/working with my mother preparing a lot of different meals, and I
found that really enjoyable that I can cook. I think that cooking/culinary arts would be a good
career for me because I enjoy being in the kitchen and learning new thing about what's in the kitchen.
Another things is that I think I would be able to grow up and be able to teach other students in
culinary what I've learned and what I've been taught in the culinary arts classroom.
I'm currently in my culinary arts class now and I'm 92% in there. The last thing I have to do in there
is to take my servsafe food handler manger test and I'll be on 100%. According to

must be able to coordinating policies, people, and resources. They also must be able to manage

explore the world, meet new people, and you get to do a lot of thing that you will never expect.

Culinary Arts: A Piece of Cake
Culinary goes back to the beginning of time; we've always had to eat. Cooking is an art, and many
different countries and cultures create their very own way of making their cuisines. So, in the
beginning of time, how'd they make their food? How has culinary developed as a profession? These
questions and many more will be answered to you. At the beginning of time, humans ate whatever
was available to them. They didn't have fast food restaurant or fancy Italian restaurants. They had to
hunt, and eat their prey or findings. Basically we were just savage beasts trying to survive. But, it
did slowly start to develop from there. Humans would find berries and fruits and mash them up to
consume them. This started...show more content...
Another dish that influenced the profession is Ma Po Tofu. "It is a dish mixed with yellowish–white
tofu and reddish brown chili sauce. People often use seven words to describe this dish which are
numbing, spicy, hot, fresh, tender, delicious and crispy" (travelchinaguide.com). This meal is
absolutely simple, yet full of taste. It's interesting to see such few ingredients used, and such intense
flavor come out of the product. A professionalchef often times wants to open his/her own business,
since they won't be bossed around and they'd get to do the job they love, their way. They often
would open a restaurant, and be the main cook. This is a life dream of many chefs, as it would
provide food for people, and they'd be able to woe them with their knowledge in cooking as their
food would taste wonderful. Many businesses sell a variety of food, allowing people of all cultures
and tastes to come in and enjoy their restaurant. And even more–so people focus completely on one
style of food for their restaurant, and make it that. So when people come in, they know exactly
what they're looking for. Eventually, many chefs would like to create a cookbook of their own, or
a cooking technique of their own. A book that currently inspires many is 10 Great Dishes of the
World. Thousands dream of one day making a cookbook similar to this one, as it provides a lot of

What You Need for a Career in Culinary Arts
For my career in physics, I chose culinary arts. The reason I've chosen this is because I love to cook
and make different creations out of food. Why I like this job is because I love to cook, eat, and
make tasty food for people to try. The job description for this job would be that you need to know
how to cook, communicate well with others, and be to work on time, and have the food out there
as soon as possible fresh and ready to go. The education and training required to be a chef would be
culinary school or a four–year degree program. Now, unless you become a celebrity chef who
makes millions of dollars a year, honestly chefs don't make much. They make anywhere from
$34,000.00 to $60,000.00 a year. There are tons of chefs out there in the world, but no other job is
like a chef's. There are a lot of different things that you need to do to become a chef. First, off after
high school you need to either go to culinary school or another four–year program and get a degree.
Then after that you need to start out slow not just jump to the top. Start out slow like starting out in
a restaurant and assist the chef to learn more before you become a head chef. Now there are certain
things you must wear when you cook:
Must haves are: o Closed toe shoes o Long sleeves o Hair pulled back o Long pants
Those are for safety issues so nothing bad happens. You need to make sure you have the right
utensils.
Utensils: o Knives, spatulas, whisks, spoons o Measuring cups, tongs o Mixers,

Culinary art is a momentous part of my life. When I was around the age of nine I was living with
both my mom and dad. I was always in the kitchen helping my mom cook dinner. I made baked
ziti, empanadas, sweet potato pie, and other foods. When I was in high school, I lived with my
father, and after my older siblings grew up it was just me and my little sister so I was responsible for
cooking the meals. I was cooking for my family an average of seven days a week and I was never
tired or bored, I enjoyed it. I developed a strong passion for culinary arts. I am passionate about it
because it excites me, inspires me, and encourages me to open a restaurant.
To begin with, the culinary arts is my passion because it excites me. The culinary arts is a
competitive field and I love the thrill of competition. It allows me to reach the height of my
potential, in addition, compare my skills with other people who have the same passion as I do.
While I'm cooking my senses explode when the collaboration of components create sensational
textures, aromas, and colors. When I'm baking I enjoy the science involved with timing, measuring,
and patience as the results always excites me. For instance, it excites me how a French croissant
starts as a dough and transforms into a beautiful golden crescent with layers of soft, flaky, and
buttery pastry inside. The ingenuity is also what excites me about culinary arts because everything
is art, from plate decorations, to the food its self. I

What Is Culinary Arts?
What Is Culinary Arts? Culinary arts have been around since the dawn of time, it is one of the
most important jobs in our society because everyone needs to eat. It is a prominent part of
American history and culture. The proper definition of culinary means relating to, or used in the
kitchen, while the definition of art is "human effort to imitate, supplement, alter, or counteract the
work of nature."(What is culinary arts?) When you put these two words together, you begin to
see that culinary arts is based on creating things that are unique and beautiful, tasteful. The
culinary arts have been rapidly growing more and more because everyone is starting to realize
they love creating new tasteful things and love to put their own unique twist on famous dishes to
make it their own. There is a reason that it is called culinary arts, because not just anybody can
create delicious and beautiful masterpieces. It is not for everybody, you have to have a passion
for creating new things with food. There are three main people involved with culinary arts; they
are the eaters, the cookers, and the real food people. How do you become in this field? To get into
the field of culinary arts, many people are inspired by famous chefs or family members who
cooked amazing dishes or just loved doing it themselves. There is inspiration everywhere to be
inspired by to get a liking for culinary. Most like many of the famous chefs of our generations, there

Essay On Being A Chef
Being a chef goes above and beyond what the average person might expect. Beginning a journey
into the culinary arts and making a career out of it requires endless hours of practice as well as
laborious work. While some people are born with an intuition of what flavors that pair naturally
and how to assort them, in the current state of the profession, it is integral to have the right
qualifications ("What Does a"). This however, is not the only qualification; you must also have a
passion for the career as well as a tolerance for what it requires ("What Does it"). A career in the
culinary arts is quite unique, as is the path to achieve a substantial career, in addition a day in the
life of a chef contains chaos and a considerable amount of stress....show more content...
For example, you are required to obtain superior time management skills. This includes, making
sure that nothing is cooked too extensive a time period or too short, and that all the food is
prepared for a table simultaneously. In addition, taste is not always what is principal. A majority
of the dishes' personality pertains to how you present it. The visual aspect is just as important, if
not more so, than how the food actually tastes. "Visual is extremely important, involving how food
is plated and arranged, ideally displaying different textures and colors. A professional chef is an
artist and the plate is the canvas ("What Does a")." After reading this quote it is easy to understand
just how monumental the presentation aspect of a dish can be, and also how exciting presenting can
be for someone with artistic intuition. While presentation and time management are exceedingly
important, it is also important to have quality people skills. Being a chef means collaborating with
people that may not always be the most friendly in the kitchen, as well as addressing people who
may not present the kindest criticisms about the food outside the kitchen. Having the right people
skills is necessary in ensuring that what goes on behind the kitchen doors is a smooth process

Culinary Arts Program: Pastry Chef
The sound of pans hitting other pans. The dough getting in between your hands. The smell of
cookies. The passion that drives someone to make a wedding cake for a special occasion. It is
this passion, this love for baking that makes me want to become a pastry chef. Currently I am a
senior in high school, in the Culinary Arts program. It is through this program, that I found this
wild and crazy, almost insane passion, but to me it makes all the sense in the world. I want to be

Baking, the process of cooking food using dry heat, is one of the oldest methods of cooking. The
ancient Egyptians are credited with building the first known ovens, which were shaped like
beehives and made of clay from the banks of the Nile River. Later cultures introduced various
technological improvements, including the Roman cylindrical oven. By the middle of the second
century B.C., there were professional bakers in Rome, and ordinary people could buy bread instead
of having to make it themselves. The first mechanical dough mixer, powered by a horse or
donkey walking in circles, was built by the Romans. In European cities during the Middle Ages,
bakers formed associations called guilds, which carefully regulated how bread was made and how
bakers were trained. Outside of cities, however, most baking was done at home or in a single village

Why I Want To Attend Culinary School
Next, I would love to go to culinary school after high school. In college, I want to be able to show
vegetarianism through food and show how delicious and creative it can be. After college I want to
hopefully work in vegetarian restaurants and hopefully run my own restaurant one day. I would
love to have a vegan southern barbeque restaurant that incorporates everyone's favorite comfort
foods. My "perfect" life in five years is honestly being able to become a great chef and work at
amazing restaurants because I consider the kitchen my second home and there's no place I rather be.

Becoming a Skilled Chef
Many people have come to the misunderstanding, probably due to the Food Network, that a chef is
just a really talented cook. "Chef" does not mean "really good cook," chef means chief. The head
chef is the chief of the kitchen and is responsible for more than making menus and pairing wines.
They lead the line cooks during rush hours and keep multiple meals, which are prepared by separate
people across the entire kitchen, synchronized. They determine what food should be used when and
how to keep the restaurant profitable and teach line cooks how to prepare new dishes.
While an education from a culinary school can help with the managing of employees and running a
restaurant, the kitchen demands experience and a chef must demand the best, not only from their
cooks and sous–chefs but from themselves as well. Becoming a skilled chef requires a dedication to
perfection, passion and, above all, hard work.

Why I Want To Be A Culinary Essay
Culinary arts can be defined as the human effort to imitate, supplement, or alter cookery. This field
has been a very important part of human history. We are always trying to find ways to improve or
come up with new ideas when it comes to eating habits. Although it has always exist, this field has
become more and more popular as the years go by. Being a "good cook" doesn't cut it anymore.
Many employers prefer people with culinary studies because they can bring something extra to the
table. Students in this field are not only learning how to prepare recipes, they also learn management
skills, organizational skills, sales, time management, inventory control, loss prevention, leadership,
responsibility, team work, and entrepreneurial skills. We can call that the "whole package". It is
important to understand that you don't necessarily have to become a chef by studying culinary arts.
There are many other careers you can have, like; caterer, cook, server, bartender, restaurateurs,
executive manager, restaurant manager, etc.
Although you don't have to become a chef, that is the career that interest me the most. The
International student website explains that: "The US is a great place for to experience unique
cultures, climates, and cuisines. You could choose to study in an area because you want to
specialize in their style of cuisine, or because you prefer their climate, or maybe you want to live
on the beach or in a big city. Whatever you prefer you 're in luck because there

My ADD At Mainland Regional High School
When I was in High School I attended Atlantic County Institute of Technology (ACIT) studying
the culinary arts half my school day, and the other half was spent at Mainland Regional High
School (MRHS). I was offered this program due to the fact I was labeled as having ADD at the
time. This vignette is not about my ADD or my horrible experience at ACIT, but about about one
single month of my senior year English class. The year had whirled by and it was almost summer,
but when it was time to read Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet my high school English teacher decided
that instead of reading the classic play the class would watch a sub–par movie staring Leonardo
DiCaprio instead. Sitting in my seat mulling over the realization that my Senior English teacher
did not think neither I or my classmates could handle the complexities of Shakespeare 's
extraordinary play I melted into a puddle of self pity in my chair. The bate and switch my English
teacher had just performed upon me had just discouraged me. This label of not being good
enough fractured my self image. After a brief summarization of Romeo and Juliet my teacher
turned the lights off and the projector beamed to life. During my Senior year MRHS transitions
towards a block schedule so my English class lasted around and hour and half, so we finished the
horrible movie within one class period. Luckily this English class was the last period of the day.
Once the bell rang I just sat their looking at the white screen in awe at

A construction worker can be drawn into dangerous situations, and a chef is no different. This all
depends on varying circumstances. The main cause of house fires and other injuries is peoples'
inattentiveness and distracted behavior. It is no mystery that, unattended food will eventually start
to burn. It would be convenient if we had a small television in our kitchen, so we can enjoy the
soap opera while making an omelet. It is a fact that injuries from cooking fires are most common
among people between the ages of 30 to 49.

disfigured in a fire, or lose a part of their body. This is horrid and a very sad effect of carelessness.
There are some tips to help prevent grease fires, such as putting a lid on the pan, or tossing baking

My Passion For Cooking Essay
I've always had a passion for cooking. When I was a little girl I loved to cook and enjoyed learning
about all sort of cuisines. Today, I am still in the kitchen and every chance I get, I cook. Some days
it isn't even fancy or a hard recipe. Some days it's a classic, but something that I've created. Cooking
is my time to be me. It's the "art form" I pride myself at being good at and I don't have to try
(unlike drawing...not so good at that!). Like a child getting a new toy, I get excited when I
discover new foods and ingredients. My mind feels "at home" when it's in the process of creating
in the kitchen. It's fun getting the ingredients, piling them all on the counter, then chopping,
stirring, adding a pinch of this and a splash of that. Then I have to wait for everything to cook.
Finally the reward of my creativity is taken out of the oven and placed on a plate. The creative work
I've done is fully realized when I can share my work with others.
Cooking is pure joy and fun for me. I cook as a way to ground myself, to think clearly and to relax
for a change. I enjoy researching ingredients I've never heard of before, what pairs best with this
spice or that vegetable. When someone strikes up a conversation with me about cooking, I could
go on for hours, so be prepared! Through cuts, burns, failed recipes, forgotten ingredients, I still find
joy in the art of cooking. Losing this passion would surely be like losing myself.
As a way to challenge myself, I started selling

Reflection Paper On Culinary Arts
4 years ago, when I was in 9th grade, I took a particular class that helped me with my future career
and what to expect in that field. Back then I wasn't for sure about what I wanted to be yet, that
topic had never crossed my mind. I just decided that I would just choose the career of a computer
technician. I completely just went with a choice, I knew that I would be around the world all the
time and make the most money as well. Technology is all around us, and once the item people use
nearly everyday breaks who's going to fix them? Over time, I anticipated that my career would
change, but now my senior year came. I'm currently taking computer courses, following a path I
thought would've changed.
Previously, I took a culinary arts course and felt like I was going to become a chief as a living.
That course taught me a lot more than just basic cooking that people would cook at home, the typical
pre packaged food then reheating it or adding liquid to actually enjoy their processed food. But I
actually made foods from scratch, nothing was prepared or prepared except for the ingredients of
course. I felt like a young grandma that would always made food from scratch some what like
Martha Stewarts. Recognizing that culinary arts is more than just cooking foods, there was a deeper
meaning behind the course, I just had a taste.
When I took my class, I knew I didn't want to just cook for a living. There was more out there. At
the time the iPhone 6 came out, a widespread of news that

your passion for culinary and dedication to be on pins and needles to create delectable dish despite
the catastrophe along the journey. Moreover, your desire to accentuate the preponderance of being a
humble life–long learner and hence, the willingness to sacrifice your time to the gazillion
experiments spent in the kitchen just to create one sans pareil dish and polishing the potential
beneath you. Believing that all that goes around comes around, it is rest assured that your venture
is the reason behind what led you to the top and if you believe that you got what it takes to be a
chef and decided to hitch your wagon to star, it is prophesied that you deliver the food to the best
of your ability. Ultimately, as many have said, nothing worth having comes easy but anything worth

  • 2. Culinary Arts Research Paper Culinary Arts: A Piece of Cake Culinary goes back to the beginning of time; we've always had to eat. Cooking is an art, and many different countries and cultures create their very own way of making their cuisines. So, in the beginning of time, how'd they make their food? How has culinary developed as a profession? These questions and many more will be answered to you. At the beginning of time, humans ate whatever was available to them. They didn't have fast food restaurant or fancy Italian restaurants. They had to hunt, and eat their prey or findings. Basically we were just savage beasts trying to survive. But, it did slowly start to develop from there. Humans would find berries and fruits and mash them up to consume them. This started...show more content... Another dish that influenced the profession is Ma Po Tofu. "It is a dish mixed with yellowish–white tofu and reddish brown chili sauce. People often use seven words to describe this dish which are numbing, spicy, hot, fresh, tender, delicious and crispy" (travelchinaguide.com). This meal is absolutely simple, yet full of taste. It's interesting to see such few ingredients used, and such intense flavor come out of the product. A professionalchef often times wants to open his/her own business, since they won't be bossed around and they'd get to do the job they love, their way. They often would open a restaurant, and be the main cook. This is a life dream of many chefs, as it would provide food for people, and they'd be able to woe them with their knowledge in cooking as their food would taste wonderful. Many businesses sell a variety of food, allowing people of all cultures and tastes to come in and enjoy their restaurant. And even more–so people focus completely on one style of food for their restaurant, and make it that. So when people come in, they know exactly what they're looking for. Eventually, many chefs would like to create a cookbook of their own, or a cooking technique of their own. A book that currently inspires many is 10 Great Dishes of the World. • 3. What You Need for a Career in Culinary Arts For my career in physics, I chose culinary arts. The reason I've chosen this is because I love to cook and make different creations out of food. Why I like this job is because I love to cook, eat, and make tasty food for people to try. The job description for this job would be that you need to know how to cook, communicate well with others, and be to work on time, and have the food out there as soon as possible fresh and ready to go. The education and training required to be a chef would be culinary school or a four–year degree program. Now, unless you become a celebrity chef who makes millions of dollars a year, honestly chefs don't make much. They make anywhere from $34,000.00 to $60,000.00 a year. There are tons of chefs out there in the world, but no other job is like a chef's. There are a lot of different things that you need to do to become a chef. First, off after high school you need to either go to culinary school or another four–year program and get a degree. Then after that you need to start out slow not just jump to the top. Start out slow like starting out in a restaurant and assist the chef to learn more before you become a head chef. Now there are certain things you must wear when you cook: Must haves are: o Closed toe shoes o Long sleeves o Hair pulled back o Long pants Those are for safety issues so nothing bad happens. You need to make sure you have the right utensils. Utensils: o Knives, spatulas, whisks, spoons o Measuring cups, tongs o Mixers, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Culinary art is a momentous part of my life. When I was around the age of nine I was living with both my mom and dad. I was always in the kitchen helping my mom cook dinner. I made baked ziti, empanadas, sweet potato pie, and other foods. When I was in high school, I lived with my father, and after my older siblings grew up it was just me and my little sister so I was responsible for cooking the meals. I was cooking for my family an average of seven days a week and I was never tired or bored, I enjoyed it. I developed a strong passion for culinary arts. I am passionate about it because it excites me, inspires me, and encourages me to open a restaurant. To begin with, the culinary arts is my passion because it excites me. The culinary arts is a competitive field and I love the thrill of competition. It allows me to reach the height of my potential, in addition, compare my skills with other people who have the same passion as I do. While I'm cooking my senses explode when the collaboration of components create sensational textures, aromas, and colors. When I'm baking I enjoy the science involved with timing, measuring, and patience as the results always excites me. For instance, it excites me how a French croissant starts as a dough and transforms into a beautiful golden crescent with layers of soft, flaky, and buttery pastry inside. The ingenuity is also what excites me about culinary arts because everything is art, from plate decorations, to the food its self. I Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The visual aspect is just as important, if not more so, than how the food actually tastes. "Visual is extremely important, involving how food is plated and arranged, ideally displaying different textures and colors. A professional chef is an artist and the plate is the canvas ("What Does a")." After reading this quote it is easy to understand just how monumental the presentation aspect of a dish can be, and also how exciting presenting can be for someone with artistic intuition. While presentation and time management are exceedingly important, it is also important to have quality people skills. Being a chef means collaborating with people that may not always be the most friendly in the kitchen, as well as addressing people who may not present the kindest criticisms about the food outside the kitchen. Having the right people skills is necessary in ensuring that what goes on behind the kitchen doors is a smooth process ("What it Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Baking, the process of cooking food using dry heat, is one of the oldest methods of cooking. The ancient Egyptians are credited with building the first known ovens, which were shaped like beehives and made of clay from the banks of the Nile River. Later cultures introduced various technological improvements, including the Roman cylindrical oven. By the middle of the second century B.C., there were professional bakers in Rome, and ordinary people could buy bread instead of having to make it themselves. The first mechanical dough mixer, powered by a horse or donkey walking in circles, was built by the Romans. In European cities during the Middle Ages, bakers formed associations called guilds, which carefully regulated how bread was made and how bakers were trained. "Chef" does not mean "really good cook," chef means chief. The head chef is the chief of the kitchen and is responsible for more than making menus and pairing wines. They lead the line cooks during rush hours and keep multiple meals, which are prepared by separate people across the entire kitchen, synchronized. They determine what food should be used when and how to keep the restaurant profitable and teach line cooks how to prepare new dishes. While an education from a culinary school can help with the managing of employees and running a restaurant, the kitchen demands experience and a chef must demand the best, not only from their cooks and sous–chefs but from themselves as well. We are always trying to find ways to improve or come up with new ideas when it comes to eating habits. Although it has always exist, this field has become more and more popular as the years go by. My ADD At Mainland Regional High School When I was in High School I attended Atlantic County Institute of Technology (ACIT) studying the culinary arts half my school day, and the other half was spent at Mainland Regional High School (MRHS). I was offered this program due to the fact I was labeled as having ADD at the time. This vignette is not about my ADD or my horrible experience at ACIT, but about about one single month of my senior year English class. The year had whirled by and it was almost summer, but when it was time to read Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet my high school English teacher decided that instead of reading the classic play the class would watch a sub–par movie staring Leonardo DiCaprio instead. Sitting in my seat mulling over the realization that my Senior English teacher did not think neither I or my classmates could handle the complexities of Shakespeare 's extraordinary play I melted into a puddle of self pity in my chair. The bate and switch my English teacher had just performed upon me had just discouraged me. This label of not being good enough fractured my self image. After a brief summarization of Romeo and Juliet my teacher turned the lights off and the projector beamed to life. During my Senior year MRHS transitions towards a block schedule so my English class lasted around and hour and half, so we finished the horrible movie within one class period. Luckily this English class was the last period of the day. Once the bell rang I just sat their looking at the white screen in awe at Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 19. My Passion For Cooking Essay I've always had a passion for cooking. When I was a little girl I loved to cook and enjoyed learning about all sort of cuisines. Today, I am still in the kitchen and every chance I get, I cook. Some days it isn't even fancy or a hard recipe. Some days it's a classic, but something that I've created. Cooking is my time to be me. It's the "art form" I pride myself at being good at and I don't have to try (unlike drawing...not so good at that!). Like a child getting a new toy, I get excited when I discover new foods and ingredients. My mind feels "at home" when it's in the process of creating in the kitchen. It's fun getting the ingredients, piling them all on the counter, then chopping, stirring, adding a pinch of this and a splash of that. Then I have to wait for everything to cook. Finally the reward of my creativity is taken out of the oven and placed on a plate. The creative work I've done is fully realized when I can share my work with others. Cooking is pure joy and fun for me. I cook as a way to ground myself, to think clearly and to relax for a change. I enjoy researching ingredients I've never heard of before, what pairs best with this spice or that vegetable. When someone strikes up a conversation with me about cooking, I could go on for hours, so be prepared! Through cuts, burns, failed recipes, forgotten ingredients, I still find joy in the art of cooking. Losing this passion would surely be like losing myself. As a way to challenge myself, I started selling Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 21. Reflection Paper On Culinary Arts 4 years ago, when I was in 9th grade, I took a particular class that helped me with my future career and what to expect in that field. Back then I wasn't for sure about what I wanted to be yet, that topic had never crossed my mind. I just decided that I would just choose the career of a computer technician. I completely just went with a choice, I knew that I would be around the world all the time and make the most money as well. Technology is all around us, and once the item people use nearly everyday breaks who's going to fix them? Over time, I anticipated that my career would change, but now my senior year came. I'm currently taking computer courses, following a path I thought would've changed. Previously, I took a culinary arts course and felt like I was going to become a chief as a living. That course taught me a lot more than just basic cooking that people would cook at home, the typical pre packaged food then reheating it or adding liquid to actually enjoy their processed food. But I actually made foods from scratch, nothing was prepared or prepared except for the ingredients of course. I felt like a young grandma that would always made food from scratch some what like Martha Stewarts. Recognizing that culinary arts is more than just cooking foods, there was a deeper meaning behind the course, I just had a taste. When I took my class, I knew I didn't want to just cook for a living. There was more out there. At the time the iPhone 6 came out, a widespread of news that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
