2. Why One system? Knowledge Management being the factor that shared knowledge amongst educators contributes to a network of support and consistency. Supervisors and External stakeholders can better understand the discipline procedures/process Students that move within the district to other schools are under the same umbrella of procedures Discipline process and intervention assignment will be more efficient and accurate.
3. How & What did we do? Group of Middle School Administrators with discipline knowledge came together to create a system that could benefit all schools Members were Joseph David, Shonna Anderson, Ocie Mcguire, Renee Whitaker, Marc Jardell, and Julian Guillory All had input of different plans, templates, procedures, and processes. 4. What is the new Process? All schools will use their school’s “H:Drive” as the vehicle for the “H:Drive Discipline Ladder Form” Form created will be the same for every school and student with the exception of the school’s individual PBIS Expectations and Logo. Form is derived directly from the CPSB Code of Conduct.
5. Why the H:Drive? Technology Oriented Able to access in real-time. Administrators and Teachers alike will be able to have up-to-date discipline data for Minor Infractions (Level 1 & 2) for interventions, conferences, and corrective strategies without the hassle of tracking it down or being paper heavy. Networked & Organized Documentation on the fly
7. Any School Individuality? School Choices Some schools have different ranges of resources for strategies and interventions. Capped Number of infractions before habitual actions become a State Discipline Referral (example has 10) Whether to start the discipline form over after a given period of time (semester) Example: 6th Graders referral form could start over at semester’s break because they are not as mature as 7th or 8th Graders. Other individual school relevant interventions and consequences. Example: Local Community/Individuals intervene to a particular school demographic
8. What’s Next? Mrs. Gallemore , Mrs. Soileau, or other Office designee can be granted access to each school’s H:Drive and be able to access it at any time from their office location Each school administrator/designee will be issued a template form and in-serviced on the procedures/process. School Administration will be responsible for conveying material to their respective faculties/staff.
