Introduction



   The country is located in Central America and is divided in 36 autonomous
communities . The capital is Santo Domingo and has over 8.000.000 citizens. The
       most important beaches are: Bocachica, La Romana, Punta Cana.
Monuments



The Columbus Lighthouse, commonly known as Columbus Lighthouse and Museum is
  a monument built to honor Dominican Christopher Columbus who discovered the
 New World. The house is said to be the remains of the famous Admiral Christopher
Columbus, but actually found in the Cathedral of Seville and several related valuables,
                            which are on public display
food
   This food is sold in the streets of
   D.R.
   They are made off: Flour, water
   and salt.




   This dish is typical in Easter
   Holidays
   It’s made off: Beans, biscuits,
   dry grapes, batata and milk of
   carnesio




   It’s the most popular food in
   Dominican Republic it’s called La
   bandera it’s the official dish of
   the nation. Contains meet,
   beans, rice and salad.

many famous athletes such as:

Sammy Sosa: Samuel Peralta Sosa
Kelvin (born November 12, 1968 in
Consuelo) is a former outfielder
who played in the right position in
Major League Baseball. Better
known as Sammy Sosa. I did 600

Felix Sánchez: Felix Sanchez (New
York, August 30, 1977) is a track and
field athlete from the Dominican
Republic, Olympic champion in
Athens in 2004 and in 2012 in
London in the discipline of 400
hurdles, considered the greatest
athlete in the history of the
Dominican Republic
Parties
Carnival: It’s one of the two
popular celebrations in Dominican
Republic.
The people wear customs of
demons, also the woman wear a
mangulina custom, this custom is
for dance perico ripiao.




Perico Ripiao: It’s Perico
Ripiao a set of three or four
musicians, whose specialty is to
run Dominican folk rhythms,
especially merengue, or carabiné
mangulina.
Music
Dominican Republic is a country      Omega: It’s a mambo and
with a lot of caribbean styles of    merengue singer it’s
music such as merengue, salsa,       famous by his style of sing
mambo, bachata, etc.
