âą Narrative structure: Foreshadowing of the ten soldiers
poem and statues, the flashbacks and the dreams were
all linear and the points which took the story back in time
helped the story progress, these were appropriate to
give meaning to the storyline therefore helping the
characters and plot thicken with meaning.
3. OVERVIEW
âą It all starts with Vera being called upon in to an office to
discuss a job opportunity to be a receptionist on soldier island
however the plot is instantly a mystery as she has flashbacks
of being in the water and shows a panicked look on her face,
which leads to many questions to the audience. It then carries
on to have a group arrive at soldier island then after the meal
a voiceover is heard accusing all the guest of specific
murders. Later the ten soldiers poem is put in to place as it
starts killing off all the guests as the poem details. As the
tension builds with more murders each suspect is killed off to
come to climax as Vera is hanging to find the judge enter the
room and reveal himself as the culprit.

5. CYBERBULLY

âą Format& Genre: One-off-single drama & docu-drama-
thriller
âą Narrative structure- Linear and realist, this helps the
story communicate with the audience by engaging them
in to getting so engrossed that they believe the story is
real. It also helps to not confuse the reader and distract
them from the purpose of the story.
6. OVERVIEW
âą The plot begins with the main actress on skype to her bestfriend who is getting ready to go
out, the plot then continues with her bestfriend telling her that her ex has posted a tweet
about her, then leading them to add their friend to the skype call to hack in to her exâs
twitter account. The guy refuses to hack in to the account and ends the call, with her
bestfriend leaving to go out, which triggers a message alert by the guy who initially
refused to hack the twitter account who links Casey access to her exâs twitter which
causes her to write a tweet. After this event occurs she realises that the hacker isnât her
friend as she had previously assumed and the person then begins to threaten Casey
showing her how they have control over her computer, which they then use to threaten her
by leaking her friends nudes and making her realise that she is in fact the cyber bully
when she previously acted like the victim. This leads to Casey finding out that a girl who
she âtrolledâ online had killed herself due to the bullying. Eventually, the hacker comes to a
deal with Casey that if she takes an anxiety pill the hacker wonât release her nudes or her
friends. Then Casey throws up the pills which she had already taken and goes to clean it
up. Eventually she stands up to the hacker after her father tells her that her bestfriend
knows that she wasnât the one who released her nudes and close her laptop.

8. THE MOORS MURDERS
âą Format- documentary.
âą Genre- crime.
âą Narrative structure- foreshadowing of the moors, linear
form meaning that all the events
âą Mise en scene- period, industrial background and
gloomy weather. They have Yorkshire accents apart from
Ian who has a Scottish accent, heâs also dressed of
higher class than the women and Dave. 60âS period
clothing.
9. OVERVIEW
âą The drama begins with the camera panning the Moors
stating that the following film is based on a true story,
then it sets the scene in 1964 Manchester. The narrative
then continues with developing the relationship between
the characters and later revealing that the character of
Ian Brady and Myra Hindley were the Moors murderers.
âą The technique of foreshadowing is used as the opening
scene is set in The Moors, which later becomes a key
area of the plot.
