 We encourage you to use our nursery provided for infants and toddlers, or
there is a quiet room in the back of the sanctuary where you will still be able to
see and hear the worship service. Please see our ushers for assistance.
 We prefer that children in 5th grade and younger sit with you during the service.
There are busy bags available at the back of the sanctuary. Also, these children
are welcome to attend our Children’s Church.

Don’t Forget
 Intercessory Prayer meets Monday July 8 at 10:00
am at the church office.
IF you would like to be a part of this group please
attend this Monday.
 There will be No Finance meeting in July.
 There will be NO Pastor’s Bible Study until the fall.
 There will be NO Sr. Youth until August. If you are
interested in being a leader for our Sr. Youth please
let Pastor David know as soon as possible.
UMW, UMM Meeting
There is an important meeting Monday at 6:30 pm
in the conference room. The UMW and the UMM
will be meeting to discuss the Fall Bazaar. Anyone
with ideas or anyone who would like to help is
invited to attend.
Family Ministries is planning a lunch after worship
July 14. Tonia Nottingham will be calling and
sending out evites to everyone this week.
You are invited to the Praise and
Worship service Thursday night July
11 at 7:00 pm.
Vacation
I will be on vacation the week of July 22. I will need
all information and announcements for the July 21
and the 28 bulletin no later than July 17.
There will be someone in the office the days that I
am gone to answer the phone and to take messages
from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.
UMM Baseball Trip
Arch Yeager is asking for a head
count of the people who are attending
the River’s Dog Game Friday, July 12.
Call Arch @ 345-4927 if you would
like to go on the bus.
The bus will be leaving the church at
5:30 pm.

Safe Sanctuary Refresher Training
If you would like to work with our children, youth, or
vulnerable adults, please ensure that your Safe
Sanctuary training is up to date. Refresher training is
required every two years. Also, a new background check
is due every three years. The training schedule for the
rest of this year is below. Training will be quarterly and
will be held in the conference room starting at 9:00 a.m.
If you are due for training between July and September
you will be receiving an email to remind you to attend in
the month of July. If you cannot attend training on this
date, please contact Rolland Fitch for alternate
arrangements.

If you would like to plan ahead, you may contact a
member of the Safe Sanctuary team to find out if your
training is due. If you are pursuing initial certification
please pick up the paperwork in the office and provide
the completed forms to Harriet Bechtol. As always, thank
you for helping to keep our children safe.
Fall Foliage Get Away
September 29th thru October 2 is the dates
that we have chosen to go to Lake Junaluska
to see the leaves at their prettiest. July 15th is
the last date that the senior will be able to
sign up to go, after that date we will let the
others in the congregation sign up. After I get a head
count I will put together a package for the cost of rooms,
gas for the bus and prices for excursions that may be
interesting to see. You may call the church office to sign
up.
Flowers for the Altar
There are a many days available on the calendar for
flowers. Please take a look, you may want to reserve a
date for a love ones birthday or an anniversary. Not only
are the flowers given to the glory of God but also to
honor or remember a love one.
