2. What Is HR?
A human resource is one person
within a company's overall
workforce, with each person
lending their skills and talents to
the organization to help it succeed.
Any person willing to trade their
labor, knowledge, or time for
compensation in an effort to
improve the organization is a
human resource. It doesn't matter
if they're part-time, full-time,
freelance, or contract employees
(Susan M. Heathfield, 2021).

3. Why HR?
1. Chance to change the lives of other people :- An HR Professional can
have a great impact on others by clocking in each day. The day-to-day
duties of HR make employee welfare and happiness a matter of
professional responsibility.
2. Guide others in their career building :- Not every employee has a
clear plan for the direction of their career. As an HR Professional, I will
have the opportunity to guide and when required, can motivate
employees towards pursuing their new career opportunities. As a
mentor, L can help many to find what works best for them.
3. Support organizational alignment :- As an HR, I can help connect
dots between individual and team responsibilities and can design
effective performance management programs that align team goals
with company goals.
4. Roles of an HR
• HR Manager :- HR Managaer is responsible for
employment policies & procedures, overseeing
payroll and rewards & recognition programs as well
as managing workplace safety initiatives. Along
with administering employee benefit programs,
the HR Manager role involves finding, screening,
recruiting new job applicants and developing
training & development programs for all
employees.
• HR Associate/Officer :- HR Officer is a skilled and
qualified HR expert whose role is pivotal to any
organization with a workforce. They are
responsibilities for managing every aspect of the
employment process, including orientation, and
training of new staff members, and managing
payroll.

9. Employer Outlook
HR MANAGER
Employment of HR Manager is projected to grow 6% from
2019 to 2029, faster than the average for all occupations.
Employment growth depends largely on the performance &
growth of individual companies. As new companies form &
organizations expand their operations, they will need more
HR Managers to administer & monitor their programs.
HR ASSOCIATE/OFFICER
Employment of HR Officer is projected to grow 7% from
2019 to 2019, faster than the average for all occupations.
Companies are likely to continue to outsource HR functions
to organizations that provide these services, rather than
directly employing HR Officers. In addition, services of HR
Generalists will likely be needed to handle increasingly
complex employment laws and benefit options.
