SPACE TIME

             2
SpaceTime is a 3D web browser. It creates a visual timeline of viewed
objects each of which can be manipulated and handled within the 3D space.

Users will be privy (sharing in the secret) to 3D eBay searches in which
results will be displayed elegantly in a 3D arrangement; hundreds of results
can be displayed at once.

SpaceTime incorporates 3D image searches; thousands of images can be
exhibited in a visual stack; multiple searches will be displayed side by side.

The same goes with regular web searches (Google, Yahoo, Flickr, et. al.).
SpaceTime also uses tabsâ€"3D tabs. This means you’ll be able to view
all your web pages at the same time; shuffle through them by clicking on the
icon in your timeline.

Today, a New York-based company called SpaceTime launched a new
browser, free to download and use, that presents Web pages and search
results as floating slabs that can be flipped through, organized, and navigated
in 3-D.

                                                                             3
SpaceTime is interesting because it constantly redraws the scene that you see
... just like a video game where you can assume any position.

The upcoming version of Apple's OS X will use a similar effect in a feature
called Time Machine that presents and saves every version of a file created
on the computer. SpaceTime is different because it doesn't need to be
hardwired into an operating system, and it allows for more-dynamic
navigation.

SpaceTime is part of a trend to take advantage of the massive amount of
memory that's available in today's standard computers. Software designers
are able to build graphical bells and whistles into applications, thanks to the
steady increase in computing power with each successive generation of
processor.

High-powered graphics chips are used to "beautify what you see, to make a
video game more realistic, or add more lighting effects." With SpaceTime,
he says, "we take that power and give the user more utility."

                                                                             4
OVERVIEW OF SPACE TIME WINDOW

                                5
 When you launch SpaceTime, you'll see a Web page address bar at the
top of the screen as well as a bar for entering search terms. As with
Firefox and Internet Explorer 7, a user can select different search
engines; in this first version, SpaceTime's search bar includes Yahoo
and Google (and their respective image-search functions), Flickr, and
   eBay.

 Web pages and search results are shown in the center of the screen
and float against a light-blue background with clouds.

 At the bottom of the SpaceTime screen, there is also a two-
dimensional timeline that shows a thumbnail view of each search
you've made or page you've called up.

 Additionally, on the left there is a window (it's hidden in default
mode) that lets people navigate through their Web history by using
  drop-down menus.

 During a Google search on SpaceTime, 3-D windows will pop up on
the screen. The first will be a Web page with the search results; the
rest of the windows are the pages of those first 10 results.

 Users can quickly zoom in on the images through the SpaceTime
interface, without having to go directly to the picture's website.

                                                                      6
Researches done on space time

The SpaceTime graphics team has been working on the software for about
eight years, and the result is patent-pending technology that allows the
software to accommodate more than 60 open pages and images. The
developer have developed a system to manage the graphical memory so that
it doesn't get overloaded with all the visual information, but still quickly lets
people see what they need to see. Part of the system, anticipates what a user
needs to see based on how user navigates the 3-D environment of
SpaceTime.

                                                                               7
Introducing 3D eBay Search

Just choose "eBay search" from the drop down menu in SpaceTime™, type
in your search term and go! SpaceTime™ displays all of your eBay search
results in an easy to view elegant 3D arrangement. The days of mining
through pages and pages of tiny thumb-nails in an effort to find the item you
are looking for are over. Because SpaceTime™ has unlimited space, you can
display hundreds of items at once to find exactly what you are looking for.

                                                                           8
Introducing 3D Image Search

Finding a needle in a hay stack is nearly impossible. But finding a picture in
SpaceTime's™ visual stacks is easy. Now you can search Yahoo! Images
and Google Images and take advantage of your computer's high powered
graphics and fast broadband connection as SpaceTime™ displays thousands
of images at once. Enter your search term and SpaceTime™ displays your
search results in their own visual stack. Enter another search and
SpaceTime™ displays your second search results next to your first. Sounds
like information converging? Have a look below.

                                                                            9
Introducing 3D Web Search

Visit your favorite search engine, type in your search term and you may find
yourself spending all afternoon clicking back and forth between a list and
the web pages you are looking for. Not anymore. With SpaceTime's™ 3D
Web Search, you choose your search engine from the drop down menu, type
in your search term and enjoy the experience as SpaceTime™ displays all
your search results at once in our patent pending interface. Enjoy the perks
that immediate visualization has to offer as you save time, eliminate clicks
and find the web pages you are looking for at a fraction of the time.

                                                                         10
Introducing 3D Tabbed Browsing

Your regular browser has one window. When you create a new web page, it
replaces your old web page and gives you a tab. But what if you had
unlimited space? What if you now had: here, there, and the space between?
SpaceTime™ is proud to introduce this "space between" as 3D Tabbed
Browsing. Just enter your websites in the address line as you normally
would and watch as your web pages are individually displayed in a stunning
3D space where you can view all of your web pages at the same time.
Effortlessly shuffle from one page to the next in your 3D space by clicking
on the icons for these web pages on your timeline. It's that easy

                                                                        11
Download

Download SpaceTime™ 1.0 for your PC free!

SpaceTime™ is a free application you can download for your PC.

SpaceTime™ will only run on a computer that has the minimum PC
Configuration as detailed below. Of course, SpaceTime's™ performance
will improve greatly with more video and system memory.

SpaceTime, which is still in a testing phase, can work on Windows XP and
Vista, and it's designed for systems that have a minimum of 128 megabytes
of video memory and 512 megabytes of system memory.

Minimum PC Configuration:

Operating System: Windows 2000, Windows XP or Vista

System Memory (RAM): 512MB

Graphics Adapter: 128MB plus 3D Capable

CPU: Pentium 4 2.4GHz or AMD 2400xp+

Screen Resolution: 1280 x 1024

Color: 32-Bit True Color

Network Speed: 768 Kbits/sec

                                                                      12
Difference between Space time 3D and 2D
 SpaceTime could be advantageous for "power users" who like to have
many tabs or windows open at once…………… Unlike with tabbed
browsing, in which the tabs shrink as more are opened, cluttering the
     browsing window,
 The advantage with the 3-D design is that the user can visually decide,
relatively quickly, whether or not user wants to look at a page.
……….. One of the problems with two-dimensional browsing, is that
it's time-consuming to click on a search result, and then hit the "back"
arrow to see the results page again

Similarity between Space time 3D and 2D
SpaceTime doesn't constrain the amount of room a person can use in the
browser for opening pages and searching the Web. All previously opened
pages and searches are automatically saved and are accessible through the
two-dimensional timeline, through the drop-down menu, and, of course, by
navigating the 3-D window as well.

                                                                          13
Improvement to be made in Space time 3D
The main reason that consumers don't flock to 3-D software for tasks such as
Web browsing is because, in general, the applications tend to be slow, all 3-
D applications simply don't provide a better user experience.

Even so, more features are planned for the next versions of the software.
These include the ability to search and filter online subscription feeds, to
search with different engines, and to compare searches side by side. Also,
future versions will allow users to save "spaces" so that each time they
launch SpaceTime, certain windows or searches will pop up in a particular
orientation.
