Create a collage to describe the personality of a person that you are familiar with, without disclosing his/her identity and relationship with you. Utilize key components of personality traits to sort for relevant visual elements.
2. Introduction
ď‚— She is a person who displays different personality
traits when she is in different social situation. The
collage is therefore divided into two sections to
showcase the duality of her personality. When she is
in a more public social circumstance, for instance
with strangers, she tends to be someone who is
adventurous, seeking freedom, loves to play yet
dominant. On the other hand, when she is
interacting with her close friends and family, she
becomes someone who is conservative, longing for
companionship and dependent.
3. Overview
ď‚— Here is an
overview of the
collage. Each
element
represents a part
of her personality
that will be
described in
detail in the
following slides.
4. Beach:
She is adventurous yet
loves to enjoy occasional
quiet time by herself.
The beach consists of the
sea, which shows that
she likes to explore the
vastness of the ocean. It
also consists of the land,
which she can relax and
spend the time with
herself.
5. Chair:
Imagine her personality
to be centered around
this beach chair. Those
aspects of her
personality that is most
observable thus are in
close vicinity of it. The
chair also serves as a
starting line as her
personality is being
explored.
6. Crown:
She tends to be the
dominant person in a
social condition. As the
crown suggests, she is
sometimes called by her
friends the “queen” for
always giving orders. By
placing it on top of the
chair, it shows her
dominance is an easily
observable trait in her
personality.
7. Magnifying glass:
She is a perfectionist.
Not a single minute
detail escapes her eyes.
It is as if she is holding a
magnifying glass at all
times, scrutinizing every
square inch of area she
looks. This attention to
detail is another part of
her personality that she
holds dearly to, hence it
is right next to the chair.
8. Corgi:
The dog is right next to her chair shows
that she is very passionate about animals.
Moreover, it highlights her empathetic
nature not only to animals but also to the
less fortunate of the society.
9. Treasure chest:
The jewelries inside the chest suggests she is
vain. She likes to display herself in a
glamorous fashion regardless of the
situation. This further strengthen her image
as the “queen” suggested by the crown.
10. Mimosa on umbrella:
The umbrella above the
chair acts as a cover for
her personality. In
addition, the mimosa
plant acts like a defense
mechanism. She tends to
close her self up when
someone overtly probes
into her privacy just like
the mimosa plant closes
up all its leaves when
touched.
11. Mirror:
The collage is divided by the mirror to show the varied
personality she displays at different social situations.
Furthermore, the mirror also depicts that she is
constantly self-reflecting, attempting to display the best
part of herself to the world. This echoes with her quest
perfection mentioned earlier.
12. Locked heart:
Before you can unveil the other part of her personality,
you would have to unlock her heart. This part of her
personality, or her inner self, she tends to only display
to those who she labels as “close friends”.
13. Crying baby:
Once you enter the other
side of the mirror, it is
entirely different aspect of
her personality. This baby
shows she sometimes has a
little baby tantrum. When
it occurs, she is insensitive
to any one, unlike her
sensitive outer self
portrayed by the mimosa
plant.
14. Genie’s lamp:
Even though she is the
“queen”, if you have
been labeled as her
“close friend”, she tends
to become the genie in
the lamp, trying her best
to satisfy your requests.
Moreover, the baby is
holding the lamp shows
that trying to please the
ones she cherishes is a
key aspect of her inner
self that she values.
15. Friends and famiy:
Deep in her inner self,
she is longing for
companionship from
both her family and
friends. Although her
outer self seems to
display a sense of
independence, she is
actually a rather
dependent person at
heart.
16. Summary
ď‚— Beginning from the most observable
aspect of her personality portrayed by
the crown, we have journeyed through
a series of traits that has made up her
entire personality. Her outer self which
occupy a larger proportion of the
collage indicates that this outer self of
her is more prevalent and perceivable
as compared to her inner self.
Nevertheless, every element is a piece
of puzzle that fits nicely to complete the
very personality she possesses.
