The applicant has been interested in media from a young age through watching films and television and listening to music. They hope this course will help expand their knowledge of the film and television industry and help them work towards a producing position. In previous projects and productions, the applicant has stood out in producing and editing music videos and films. They have a strong interest in British films and films inspired by graphic novels. Their goal is to one day write screenplays and see their ideas realized on the big screen as a producer.

1. Personal Statement For Creative Music Production / Film and Television Studies
From a young age I have been interested and somewhat involved with the media industry, From
watching a varied amount of films and programmes to listening to a huge selection of music at all
ages of my life. Media Is a huge industry in which we see, use and embrace in everyday life and
moulds our lives for the better that’s something I would like to be a part of as the industry
progresses into the future. I hope is that this course will help me expand my knowledge on the film a
tv side of the industry and hopefully work towards a producing position in film.
I have studied media at a Btec level in college as well as several projects and productions outside of
education such as being involved in theatre productions at the Lowry theatre on and off stage. I
stood out most when completing projects in college most in situations of producing and editing
music videos/films and producing motion graphics. I often step into the shoes of a director in these
projects as I believe I work well within teams as well as making decisions on my own. I will always
get my point and ideas out onto the table but believe in joint and fair decisions if necessary. In
secondary school I was always egger to start projects that involved graphic/electronic design and
producing work to a professional standard as I believe I have an eye for perfection.
I have a huge interest in movies with some of my favourites being Quadrophenia, American Psycho
and V for Vendetta. I highly enjoy British made films and of which have great British cultural
references or influences, I also have a great interest in graphic novels and love to assess the novels
to the film interpretations or again films highly inspired by graphic novels, one the my favourite has
to be Watchmen and V for Vendetta. I enjoy certain directors and producers in the industry for their
work on the big screen for being innovative and original, people such as Guillermo Del Toro, Zack
Synder and Peter Jackson. I like to be a Producer of not Del Toros level of fame yet level of film
making, I would like to see the screen plays I write and the ideas that I have to be on the big screen
exactly how I imagine.
If I was accepted onto the course I would put all the enthusiasm I have into learning what the course
has to offer to get me to my career choice. My full attention and excitement will help me along the
course with high grades.
