2. The most popular concepts of Levels
1. Levels of moral consciousness - Clare W. Graves (from 1952 to 1974)
2. Spiral Dynamics - Christopher Cowan, Don Edward Beck (book of 1996)
3. Integral Theory - Ken Wilber, Barret Brown (from 2000 up to now)
4. TUAI-HBT - Jacob Feldman (from 1989 up to now)
HBT = Human Being Theory, TUAI = Theory of levels of abstract intellingence
3. Levels of moral consciousness by Clare W. Graves
1. There are more 25 models of different authors Graves compares with his
model and finds they are isomorphic to his model in different ways
2. Graves tests his model by scientific experiments of high standards but it
covers only small percent of his declarations - most of his statements remains
mythological constructions
3. Graves declares that “development of moral consciousness happens in
adulthood as well as intellectual development happens in childhood”
(according to Piaget) - from level to level up while environment facilitates it
4. Graves proved that “average consciousness goes up”, but his declaration that
“individual consciousness goes up” was never proven
4. Graves never was a public figure
- he became famous
in 10 years after his death -
because of new brands:
Spiral Dynamics and
Integral Theory
5. Spiral Dynamics
1. SD works with corporations
2. SD analyses conflicts inside corporation, explains it with
“different SD-levels” and advices “what to do”
3. SD has its own unique “color sequence”, it is not
rainbow sequence but cold-hot-alternation scale -
invented by Don Edward Beck
6.
7. Integral Theory
1. This brand cover at least two theories (may be more).
A-theory by Ken Wilber and B-theory by Barret Brown
2. Ken Wilber does not solve problems, he tells mix-tales from
religion (presumably buddhism) and science (presumably
neurophysiology)
3. Barret Brown works with corporations, not socially (like SD)
but personally, improving personalities of leaders and
managers. He is more close to Graves than anybody other
from Graves’ offsprings
11. F-levels against GWBSD-levels
GWBSD-levels
1. Every person in every moment stands
at one level for long enough time
span
2. Lifting up is possible only with
individual will and force while
environment is good.
Bad environment usually makes you
to move down
3. Lifting up is profitable for you and
everybody around individually as well
as collectively
F-levels
1. Every person in every moment has a set of
favourite levels (usually 4 levels in a set = profile)
2. The set becomes iimmutable after childhood
(since 12 years old). After this age you can chage
the profile only after personal disaster of some
kind
3. Changing your profile (lifting up) may bring you
advantage or disadvantage. It depends on many
factors around you

BOTH work in logics and epistemology
