2. How did you respond to the original brief with the
audience in mind?
■ Before creating our film, we produced a questionnaire in regards to our film script.The
respondents were handed the first draft of our film script and were asked questions on what
they thought about the film script, and their first impressions.This helped us understand the
audience more and create a film that they would want to see, as they gave us feedback and
suggestions on how to change and improve the film.

meaning would be apparent to the audience?
■ When filming the film, we looked for locations that were suitable for the film and fit
the scene well.While the scenes we chose were fairly generic and not that interesting
in terms of surroundings, the story still benefitted as it was clear where the characters
were at that time.
■ In filming and editing, we decided to use a lot of closeup shots and reaction shots from
Chuck.This helped the audience understand what Chuck was feeling and suggested at
how the audience should be feeling, as they empathise with Chuck.
4. How did the audience respond when you trialled
aspects of your film?
■ After letting peers watch our film for the first time, we created questions for them to answer to understand
their thoughts and what they would change about our film
■ The first question of our film asks the audience what they liked about our film
■ There were many answers, most of them saying the film was easy to understand, funny and had a good
storyline.This was helpful information as it suggests that all the areas that we tried to achieve with our film
were fulfilled, as well as other areas that we did not expect to meet

■ The second question we asked was, what could be improved in our film?This had a
majority vote for the sound and wind complications that we had when filming one of
the scenes, however after receiving feedback we decided to go back and change the
film slightly by adding background music over the scene so that the wind was no
longer apparent

■ The final question that we asked the audience is what age rating would they give the
film.
■ This resulted in a majority vote for PG, which we had expected and had already aimed
towards when writing the script. By not including violence or explicit language, we
were able to fall into the bracket of PG.This will help the film upon release as it will be
available to a wider and younger audience.
