2. This is my first test shot. This shot was to see how I can capture a person with natural light and
then not looking at the camera. I wanted the image to look as natural as possible. In this image
I only need to improve the focus as the subject is blurred out a little. I need to make sure I think
before taken a photo and make sure the image is thought about more before taken.
3. In this image I have improved the focus and thought about the lighting a little bit more. I need to
think how I can light up the background more with natural lighting. I got the subject to look down
as I wanted to test my skills on how to take a picture with someone looking down. I would
improve this by showing the face of the person a little more as I would like to set a focus. I would
either have the person showing their jaw line more looking directly at the camera with their eyes
but still having their head facing down.
4. In this image, I got the subject to look at certain angles. I wanted to test seeing how I can
capture the eyes and the jawline to see if that has an effect on the image. I feel I need to have
more communication with the actress so that they know how to stand and what body language
to have. I need to have more control over the lighting using the shutter speed and the IOS. I need
to make sure I am balancing the lighting or putting more focus into the image. The image can be
improved by having more lighting. In this I was trying to play around with the natural lighting
provided through the windows and by the surround lights in the building. I feel i can improve
next time by thinking where the subject will stand and the body language of the person.
5. In this image, I got the subject to stand side ways.
I wanted the light to be used more in the back
ground more. I used the natural light around me
which was in a building using the lights from the
rood and the sunlight shining through the
window.
In this, I got the subject to face on way with their
body but with their head face the camera. I found
in this, when brightening up the background, the
subject gets blacked out as there is too much
light in the back ground. With this I need to
improve in balancing the light and then using the
shutter speed to capture the light on the subject.
If I was to take this again, I would balance the
light and increate the IOS to 400. I would want he
shutter speed to be a bit lower just to capture the
image in a bit more detail.
6. In this image, I concentrated on balancing the light in the background and on the subject. I
wanted to capture the eyes of the person to put focus on in the image. I took the image from
above to test how I would take the image and how I would thinking about taking it. I thought
about framing, lighting and focus. I feel I need to improve on communicating with the subject
and getting getting them to have a certain body language. I need to put more meaning in the
pictures I take and have more of a interpretation of the image to let a person think what the
image is about and what's the story.
