Rockwell
extra bold Arial black
I have chosen to use the colour
blue because I will use this
colour to make the windows for
my space ship. I then will use
the colour white for the space
ship design. I will use this colour
so that it stands out to the
audience. I chose the colour
black for the background as I
am making a space game. The
colour red will be used for the
fire from the exhaust and the
lasers the space ships will be
firing. The colour brown for the
asteroids, because it stands out
to the audience and player.
I will using the font Arial black for my video game text, for example “Hi Score”, the
reason I have used this font style is because it stands out to the audience. Its also easy to
understand because its clear and bold. I then chose “Rockwell extra bold” for the
words “player 1” and “player 2”, I chose these specific words, so that the audience will
understand which player they’re. I will use the spaceman font for the menu screen
words, this is because I wanted the words to give off a space feel to the audience.
I will include a simple yet pleasing design that’s not hard to draw
as it would take time in making it, therefore going over the
deadline. I will also add similar props as this will be easy and not
time consuming, therefore I can put more detail on other slides.
old games as this is common through all the products. The effect
of this is that it will target young teenagers who like retro 1980s
themed as this will target people it will remind them of old games.
It may also appeal to young people who are interested.
Style sheet
Video Game
The reason I will choose this type of image style is because its
similar to what I'm going to make for example my video game
will have detailed space ships and backgrounds. I will use this
image style/play style in my project because the game will be an
upward side scroller as I want the game to be unique and
unexpected to the player/audience. I will also include a very
detailed background as well, as I want the audience to be
immersed into the video game. Another reason I choose this
image is because I wanted to use a similar colour scheme as the
image on the left. I will use this colour scheme for my project as I
think it looks amazing and immersive.
Green/orange/red/yellow colour’s will stand out to the audience as it
will grab their attention because the space ships will stand out like a
soar thumb. It will also catch the customers eye, therefore making it
more noticeable. The colours are unique and straight to the point. This
is great because it speaks for it self and relatively easy to understand
as there is no confusing patterns. The colours are vibrant and
noticeable, this Is great as it will draw costumers in.
Style sheet
Box Art
I chose the colour black for the background of my
box art, as I want the space to stand out and
catch the eye of the audience. I then chose the
colour white for the stars in the background, the
reason I chose this is that I wanted to immerse
the audience into being in space. I then chose
the colour blue for the design of the ship that will
be on the front cover of my box art. I will use the
colour red for the exhaust of the space ship. I
chose this colour because there's no colour that
would go with the space ship, expect from red. I
then chose the colour salmon for the title
background as I want the box art cover to stand
out to the audience.
The spacebar font stands out to
the audience, therefore it will
catch their eye as they are
looking at the box cover. I will
use the space bar font for the
title of the video game. I then
will use the space age font for
the sub headline, as I want to to
catch the audiences eye.
I choose these fonts because it tells the
viewer/customer to buy the game because it grabs
the viewers attention. I will use this in the font for
“Start Game” as this will show how unique and
eye catching the game can get. I will also use
“chalkboard” for the menu screen as its clear and
understandable to read. This will appeal to more
people as it will widen their target market.

video game

Ammo: 56
Rationale
The reason I chose to put hearts into the game is so that
the game has a end point. For example when you have no
hearts left in the game it will end. I then decided to add in
planets to make the atmosphere of the game more spacy,
therefore the audience will know the game is set in
space. I then decided to add in meteors as the enemies in
the game, therefore its surprising to the audience as it
may be unexpected for them. I then added in lasers, the
reason behind this is so that the player can shoot the
incoming meteors. I then implemented a scoring system
so that the game can be more competitive as you have to
achieve the highest score. I then added in a ammo
counter to tell the player how much ammo they have.
Layout 2
Video Game
Ammo: 56 Ammo: 47
Player 1 Player 2
Score: 175 Score: 190
Rationale
I added co-op into the mix as my audience
wanted a multiplayer game, therefore I came up
with an idea that you have to compete in getting
the highest score. I then added in a ammo
counter to tell the player how much ammo they
have. I then added in plants to the background
to make the game have a more spacy vibe. I
then chose the designs of the ships to make
them unique and interesting, so that they will
stand out to the audience.
Layout 3
Box Art Space wars
The reason I chose this design for my box art is
because it stands out to the audience. The
reason I chose to add in asteroids is because
the game is largely based around asteroids.
The reason I chose this font is because it
stands out to the viewer, therefore grabbing
their attention. I then chose a space like colour
theme to fit in with my space video game. I
then decided to add an age rating to let the
audience know if its suitable for them. I then
added in a Xbox banner to let the audience
know what kind of platform the game will be
on.
Layout 4
Box Art
Space wars
“exciting gameplay that will excite all audiences”
Rationale
I decided to use large font to draw the customer
in to my box cover. I then created a review on
the box art to get the audience intrigued. As this
would make them want to know more. I then
added in a age rating to let the audience know
what to expect playing the game and therefore
suitable for people who are 3 or more. I then
added in planets and asteroids in the
background to give the game a space vibe/feel.
Planning ideas
A great idea for my space ship, would be adding guns to the space
ships, therefore the player can shoot asteroids and gain XP and points.
Another idea for my space craft would be adding speed boosters to
increase the speed of the craft for a short period. Therefore this would
give the player a fighting chance to dodge the asteroids. Another
brilliant idea for the space crafts would be alternating weapons,
therefore the player can use a certain weapon for different occasions,
this would appeal to my audience as you have to strategize. The story
line will involve two abandoned space ships in a empty dark place in
space. They have to dodge and shoot there way out, to survive the
asteroid field. I will design the asteroids to be dark and intimidating,
therefore the audience will know that the enemies are asteroids. I will
use Tetris music for my background music however I will have to
change it as I will get copy right issues.

  • 2. Style sheet Video Game Rockwell extra bold Arial black I have chosen to use the colour blue because I will use this colour to make the windows for my space ship. I then will use the colour white for the space ship design. I will use this colour so that it stands out to the audience. I chose the colour black for the background as I am making a space game. The colour red will be used for the fire from the exhaust and the lasers the space ships will be firing. The colour brown for the asteroids, because it stands out to the audience and player. I will using the font Arial black for my video game text, for example “Hi Score”, the reason I have used this font style is because it stands out to the audience. Its also easy to understand because its clear and bold. I then chose “Rockwell extra bold” for the words “player 1” and “player 2”, I chose these specific words, so that the audience will understand which player they’re. I will use the spaceman font for the menu screen words, this is because I wanted the words to give off a space feel to the audience. I will include a simple yet pleasing design that’s not hard to draw as it would take time in making it, therefore going over the deadline. I will also add similar props as this will be easy and not time consuming, therefore I can put more detail on other slides. old games as this is common through all the products. The effect of this is that it will target young teenagers who like retro 1980s themed as this will target people it will remind them of old games. It may also appeal to young people who are interested.
  • 3. Style sheet Video Game The reason I will choose this type of image style is because its similar to what I'm going to make for example my video game will have detailed space ships and backgrounds. I will use this image style/play style in my project because the game will be an upward side scroller as I want the game to be unique and unexpected to the player/audience. I will also include a very detailed background as well, as I want the audience to be immersed into the video game. Another reason I choose this image is because I wanted to use a similar colour scheme as the image on the left. I will use this colour scheme for my project as I think it looks amazing and immersive. Green/orange/red/yellow colour’s will stand out to the audience as it will grab their attention because the space ships will stand out like a soar thumb. It will also catch the customers eye, therefore making it more noticeable. The colours are unique and straight to the point. This is great because it speaks for it self and relatively easy to understand as there is no confusing patterns. The colours are vibrant and noticeable, this Is great as it will draw costumers in.
  • 4. Style sheet Box Art I chose the colour black for the background of my box art, as I want the space to stand out and catch the eye of the audience. I then chose the colour white for the stars in the background, the reason I chose this is that I wanted to immerse the audience into being in space. I then chose the colour blue for the design of the ship that will be on the front cover of my box art. I will use the colour red for the exhaust of the space ship. I chose this colour because there's no colour that would go with the space ship, expect from red. I then chose the colour salmon for the title background as I want the box art cover to stand out to the audience. The spacebar font stands out to the audience, therefore it will catch their eye as they are looking at the box cover. I will use the space bar font for the title of the video game. I then will use the space age font for the sub headline, as I want to to catch the audiences eye. I choose these fonts because it tells the viewer/customer to buy the game because it grabs the viewers attention. I will use this in the font for “Start Game” as this will show how unique and eye catching the game can get. I will also use “chalkboard” for the menu screen as its clear and understandable to read. This will appeal to more people as it will widen their target market. Chalkboard Avenir Heavy Apple casual
  • 6. Rationale The reason I chose to put hearts into the game is so that the game has a end point. For example when you have no hearts left in the game it will end. I then decided to add in planets to make the atmosphere of the game more spacy, therefore the audience will know the game is set in space. I then decided to add in meteors as the enemies in the game, therefore its surprising to the audience as it may be unexpected for them. I then added in lasers, the reason behind this is so that the player can shoot the incoming meteors. I then implemented a scoring system so that the game can be more competitive as you have to achieve the highest score. I then added in a ammo counter to tell the player how much ammo they have.
  • 7. Layout 2 Video Game Ammo: 56 Ammo: 47 Player 1 Player 2 Score: 175 Score: 190
  • 8. Rationale I added co-op into the mix as my audience wanted a multiplayer game, therefore I came up with an idea that you have to compete in getting the highest score. I then added in a ammo counter to tell the player how much ammo they have. I then added in plants to the background to make the game have a more spacy vibe. I then chose the designs of the ships to make them unique and interesting, so that they will stand out to the audience.
  • 9. Layout 3 Box Art Space wars The reason I chose this design for my box art is because it stands out to the audience. The reason I chose to add in asteroids is because the game is largely based around asteroids. The reason I chose this font is because it stands out to the viewer, therefore grabbing their attention. I then chose a space like colour theme to fit in with my space video game. I then decided to add an age rating to let the audience know if its suitable for them. I then added in a Xbox banner to let the audience know what kind of platform the game will be on.
  • 10. Layout 4 Box Art Space wars “exciting gameplay that will excite all audiences”
  • 11. Rationale I decided to use large font to draw the customer in to my box cover. I then created a review on the box art to get the audience intrigued. As this would make them want to know more. I then added in a age rating to let the audience know what to expect playing the game and therefore suitable for people who are 3 or more. I then added in planets and asteroids in the background to give the game a space vibe/feel.
  • 12. Planning ideas A great idea for my space ship, would be adding guns to the space ships, therefore the player can shoot asteroids and gain XP and points. Another idea for my space craft would be adding speed boosters to increase the speed of the craft for a short period. Therefore this would give the player a fighting chance to dodge the asteroids. Another brilliant idea for the space crafts would be alternating weapons, therefore the player can use a certain weapon for different occasions, this would appeal to my audience as you have to strategize. The story line will involve two abandoned space ships in a empty dark place in space. They have to dodge and shoot there way out, to survive the asteroid field. I will design the asteroids to be dark and intimidating, therefore the audience will know that the enemies are asteroids. I will use Tetris music for my background music however I will have to change it as I will get copy right issues.
