How does it work? • Three years starting in Year 9 and finishing in Year 11 • Two lessons in Year 9 and three lessons in Years 10 and 11 • Speaking exam conducted with your teacher • Writing, reading and listening all at the of Year 11 We explore four GCSE contexts: • Lifestyle and Relationships • Work and Education • Leisure • Environment Year 9 is a transition year: • Revise everything from Years 7 and 8 • Intercultural understanding modules • Prepare for GCSE course
What else do we do? • Trips to France and Spain • Links with Sunderland, Northumbria and Newcastle Universities • Visits from language assistants to support lessons
