Create a Solid Online Portfolio
Make sure that it:
Is a responsive website
Provides insight into your problem-solving process
Has a user-friendly, clean design that represents
how you would deliver client work.
Shows attention to detail. Proofread, QC & test!

In school or group setting, you are the one who usually… (takes
the lead, does the HTML, presents, makes the project plan, does
the research, creates the design, etc.)
Most of the time, bootcamps or HCI programs expose you to
research, user experience design and visual design.
• What parts of the process did you enjoy the most?
• What parts would you like to learn more about?
• Did you discover any strengths or affinities to any part of the
process?
Having long-term goals shows drive, and every employer wants a
thoughtful, driven UX Designer on their team.
• Consider why you entered the field in the first place.
• Where do you hope to take your new skills?
• It doesn’t have to be hyper specific, but this is something you
should spend time thinking about, before going to an
interview.
