2. Good day friends and welcome to another backlinking report. In my previous blog post,
I wrote about some of the ways to generating traffic and backlinks through blog
commenting. If you are yet to read the post, well here’s a summary;
The post actually elaborated on the importance of placing valuable comments on other
blogs with the aim to gain some good traffic and maybe a link back. Just as I pointed
out on the 50/50 situation, not all blogs allow dofollow on comments but it is worth
commenting as you could get some good traffic if your comments are valuable.
You can read the post here: http://www.bloggers-club.com/2012/10/how-to-generate-
traffic-and-backlinks.html
Now, .com domains are regular top level domains that people comment on. But do you
know that .edu as well as .gov sites could help you rank better and faster? Here’s why;
these websites are top level sites owned by top authorities. They are believed to be
maintained regular and of high value to its readers. So if you want to get some good
quality links from these sites, just keep this in mind; DO NOT SPAM!!!
At this stage, I already assume you have SEOquake installed on your Firefox browser. If
not, install it now: http://www.seoquake.com/guide.php
The next thing is to head over to Google and enter the search query below replacing
“niche” with your keyword choice.
site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be
logged in” “niche”
Now in my own case, I want to find .edu blogs on the make money niche. Here’s how
mine would look;
site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be
logged in” “money”
This is what I got from the search results;
3. As you can see from above, two of the sites on the top four (4) listing have a PR of 3. All I
need do is click on the links, read the blog post, drop a contributive comment and wait
for approval. Once your comment get approved, do not forget to ping it.
Now if I want to look for .gov links, I would simply change “site:.edu” to “site:.gov” and
change my keyword. Here’s a screenshot to one of my approved comment on a .gov site;
4. This was on a .gov site. As you can see, the moderator left my link intact because my
comment was meaningful.
Here’s another one;
This was on a .edu site. Did you notice something? The comment below mine had its
link removed while mine was intact. That comment was promotional.
In all, try to read any post before leaving a comment and ensure to contribute something
meaning. Trust me; your comments would surely get approved.
To your success,
Ivan Aliku.
