In some countries young people have little leisure time and are under a lot
of pressure to work hard in their studies. What do you think are the causes
and effects of this condition? Plan your response, and then write a cause
and effect essay.
3. In the society today, school life is full of
hassles, deadlines, nuisances, and demands. Yet studies have
found that students of all ages experience some degree of
pressure when attending school. Most of students spend most
of their time on assignments, home works and projects.
Although they have a little free time, they will choose to keep on
playing at social network either choose to exercise at outside.
This totally changes the young peopleâs lifestyle and effects
their healthy. For this situation, what has affected the young
people and effect for them? The causes are high expectation
from others, concern to their future and family issues.
The young peoples have the weight of the world on
their shoulders. Parents, family members and teachers usually
have high expectation at them. Because they are expected to
keep their grades up, they will feel stress and keep working
hard without concern at their health. This causes worry in
studentâs life if they can't keep up with or exceed these
expectations. This is especially true for students who are
receiving federal financial aid, because they have to maintain a
certain GPA to continue receiving funds from the constitution.
Anyone who in long-lasting stress will have a higher risk of high
blood pressure or heart problems. Stress might have a direct
effect on the heart and blood vessels, such as heart attack.
Students have to be realistic about their chances of
employing. Every employer will place the employeeâs certificate
at the first. This make the studentâs more focus on their studies
but the youths now a time memorize the information just to
score in examination, they donât carry out in their real life. This
makes them less practice or move on without direction or study
in a blind panic. They may get a flying colour in their test but
when they graduated and come into society, they will realise
that their communication skills and thinking skills are not
enough for them to strive in
4. their career. Communicate is what keeps you on your
toes during your work, sharpens your concentration when
youâre attempting the game-winning free throw, or drives
you to work when you'd rather be late because sleeping.
Family can greatly influence student's actions
and create additional pressure in the process. Many
students feel obligated to please their parents, especially
college or universityâs students might get stressed out
when their grades aren't up to par because they know their
parents will be disappointed. Parents may be a bit
overprotective at first, because it's the student's first time
away from home and in the process of learning
independent. All of this added pressure can put a great
weight on the student's shoulders. If they have a lot of
responsibilities and worries, their emergency stress
response may be activated most of the time. As long as
they force themselves to be perfect in their studies, they
have the high risk to get into mental problems. Long-term
pressure can rewire the brain, leaving student to be
vulnerable to anxiety and depression.
In conclusion, high expectation from others, concern
to their future and family issues put the students under a
lot of pressure to work hard in their studies.Itâs important to
learn how to recognize when your stress levels are out of
control. Pressure can easily creep up on you anytime.
Pressure affects the mind, body, and behaviour in many
ways, and everyone experiences the pressure differently.
It starts to feel familiar even normal. You canât even notice
how much itâs affecting you, even as it takes a heavy
toll. So,we should learn how to manage our pressures.
