EARLY CHILDHOOD SCREENING
The early childhood years from birth to the start of kindergarten are an
important time of rapid learning and growth developmentally. It is
recommended to have children screened when they turn 3. Early
Childhood Screening is a quick and simple check of how children are
doing developmentally. It identifies, at an early stage, possible learn-
ing, developmental or health concerns so that children can get need-
ed help before starting school. Early Childhood Screening is required
for entrance in Minnesota’s public schools and is offered the second
Friday of every month at the Community Learning Center.
Appointments are required and can be made by calling 507-460-1700.
