This document presents a comparative analysis of cost overrun and time delay in road construction projects in India. It examines two road projects - WAKAN–KHOPOLI road and INDAPUR - AGARDANDA road - to identify the causes of cost and time overruns.
The study involved collecting preliminary data on the projects, including their budgets, timelines and contractors. It also involved surveying experts via questionnaires. The results showed the WAKAN–KHOPOLI road experienced a cost overrun of 2.3% and a time delay of 205 days due to factors like rising material and labor costs, land acquisition issues, and management problems.
