“The Boy´s Ambition”
Each student is called on to read a few lines from the passage.
After they have finished reading, they are asked to translate
into Spanish the few lines they have just read. The teacher
helps him with new vocabulary items. When the students have
finished reading and translating the passage, the teacher asks
them in Spanish if they have any questions. They asked about
the meaning of some words and the teacher translate into
Spanish.
In the next activity students have to answer some
comprehension questions, after some minutes students read
the question and answers in the next activity the teacher gives
the students some words from the passage and the students
have to give the Spanish meaning, in the last activity the
teacher gives two-word verbs that the students haven´t
learned yet and are in the passage, the students have to
translate into Spanish, then they are given the rule for use of a
direct object with two-word verbs.
