2005 - 2008 project Centre for Knowledge and
Technology Transfer – foundations of the CKTT laid
2006 - 2008 project Innovation Entrepreneurship
at the CU - four layer training program in KTT - tutored
distant learning
2008 – 2010 project Cert TTT-M (funded from 6. FP
– CU - expert participation) - basic EU curriculum for KTT
training defined

2010 – 2012 project EuKTS (funded from 7. FP, CU
participated as a member of 14 member consortium) –
system for EU accreditation and certification of KTT
education devised
2012 – 3 pilot projects on EuKTS accreditation, level
„Basic“: Charles University in Prague
Management Center Innsbruck
University of Bologna
2010 - 2012 project TTM in Regions I (coordinator
Biological Center of the Czech Acad. Sci. + 6 partners) –
application of the EU model – tutored distant learning
4. History of KTT at the CU
2010 – 2012 project TTM at the CU – application of
the EU model – tutored distant learning
2011 – facultative lectures in KTT (introductory
course based on EuKTS model) for undergraduate
students offered at the Faculty of Sciences of CU
2012 – 2014 project TTM in Regions II (coordinator
Faculty of Medicine of CU in Pilzen + 2 partners)
2013 – another 5 faculties should follow
5. Outcome
More than 600 students passed the training courses already
More than 430 passed successfully
More than 160 has got „EU certificate“
First 25 undergraduate students passed the introductory course
in 2011
KTT community of the CU is forming around the CKTT ……
Further extension of the training is being discussed:
●for PhD students and University employees
●for all students
●continuation of the introductory course

Based on 8 competencies:
● Information analysis and management
● Strategy and IP portfolio
● Intellectual Property protection
● Opportunity assessment and valuation
● Knowledge transfer and marketing of innovations
● Negotiating and contracting
● New business development and financing
● Project management
