The perception of bicycles in China has changed from a symbol of prosperity to something seen as old and outdated. However, some are pioneering a change with urban cycling and hobby riding. Groups like the Beijing Fixed Gear Bike club are inspiring others, especially youth, to rediscover bicycles as fun, fashionable transportation. This is shifting the perception of bicycles back to something cool and trendy.
