go, go. I will come to

4. Her Mission
Joan of Arc claimed that God told her
that her mission was to drive the
English from French soil
The voices also told her to cut her
hair, put on men’s clothing and to
gather arms
In order to complete her mission, she
had to make these sacrifices

5. Joan Starts Her Journey
Asks permission
from Robert de
Baudicourt, the
local lord, to go to
talk to the dauphin,
Charles VII about
her goal. He
refused to help a
poor peasant.

8. The Hundred Years’ War
Started in 1337
French vs. English
Joan and her troops ended the long battle and
were victorious
First woman (even though she wasn’t allowed) to
