1. EASTER SUNDAY (16-4-2017)
NOTICES FOR THE WEEK
1. The cluster community wise Easter Masses and blessing of water will begin from tomorrow Monday,
17th April. The schedule of masses has been sent on WhatsApp parish group.
2. Divine Mercy feast will be celebrated on coming Sunday, 23rd April. As a preparation for this feast,
novenas are being held daily before the evening Mass at 5.45.
3. Those students going to 11th std and others above 16 years, who have not yet received the
Confirmation, please register your names in the parish office for next year confirmation batch.
4. The Summer club for the school going children will begin from tomorrow, Monday, 17th April till
Saturday, 29th April. Parents do send your children for this holiday activity. Register your names with a
registration fee of Rs 50/- per child in the parish office or with Fr Henry.
5. Like every year, an appreciation day will be held as a token of appreciation for all the registered
members of parish groups and SCCs. This gathering will be held on the following Sunday, 30th April
after the evening mass in the AV hall. Each group head and SCC leader, please give the list of
registered and active members and animators of your respective groups in the parish office before
Thursday, 27th April.
6. The next Baptism course will be held in the month of May. Eligible parents please register your names
in the parish office.
7. Whenever you come for any church work please bring your family handbook updated with your
community fund contribution entries.
8. In keeping with our parish Eco-friendly policy, parishioners are encouraged to celebrate eco-friendly
Easter festival in your families and your community activities by avoiding throw away articles etc.
9. Perhaps during these days, you have experienced the difference in our church sound system. Recently
the church sound system has been replaced with the new and more powerful system which has costed
a good amount to the church. As announced earlier, shortly church wiring work will be redone, and
there is also a plan to do some modifications for the Eucharistic adoration chapel. Your donations are
welcome for these church projects.
10. Brother Calistus Miranda who was doing his pastoral ministry last year in our parish will be ordained as
a deacon for Belgaum diocese on 25th April, 2017. We pray for Br.Calistus. In this connection, Bishop
of Belgaum has sent a letter to bring to his notice if any parishioner has any objection to ordain him as
a deacon. The letter of bishop is put up on the notice board.
11. There is a permanent vacancy for a qualified KG trained teacher for Infant Jesus school KG section.
Please handover your application in the school office or to the Manager at your earliest.
12. A gathering of singles looking out for life partners will be held at Goregaon seminary on Sunday 7th
May. For further details see poster on the notice board.
13. (9.30 am mass) Today’s liturgy is animated by SCC 16. Coming Sunday turn for liturgy will be SCC 17.
14. The last Sunday collections amounted to Rs-23782/- Thank you for your generosity.
15. (10.30 mass PP) Finally, dear parishioners on behalf of parish team, myself and Fr Henry wishing all
our parishioners a happy Easter. May the peace and joy of Risen Christ reign in our hearts and in our
families all through the year. This week was really hectic one for many parishioners. In spite of all
family and professional duties a lot of parishioners have helped to make this Holy season truly
meaningful and grace-filled season by their active involvement in the preparation for various liturgical
celebrations including Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and today’s celebration. I take this opportunity
to say a big thank you to all those parishioners and groups including choir, liturgy and ushering teams,
Sisters, altar servers, Ministers of the Holy communion, art and décor team, electrical and sound team,
school and church staff and workers and police personnel. May the Risen Christ inspire you to
continue this good work.
16. Tomorrowthere will be only 2 masses, morning at 7 in Konkani and 8.30 in English. There will be no
evening mass.
