Personal Home Page – part 1 This page is setup similar to a Physician or a Nurse Practitioner desk, with notifications, messages, unsigned notes, unsigned labs, and possibly sticky notes about which patients are waiting. The Home Page is the starting point of the EMR and allows Physicians to manage their daily patient care effectively on a daily basis. Of course the support staff will each have their own home page designed specifically by the Administrator of the software in most cases this is the Office Manager
6. Personal Home Page part 2 By clicking on the “Open office visits” ( 1 ) you can view a complete list of which patients are signed in, which exam room they are in and, how long they have been in the office, what type of visit and additional info about the patient. This is also seen next to the same tab ( 2 ) but with less info provided. By clicking on any of the color coded tab’s to your left you will have access to the information specific to the tabs designation. If you click on sonograms ( 3 ) for example you will see all the sonograms images that came in electronically just for your patients and then you would click on the specific image you wish to review with the option of making an annotation or communicating a task to a staff member. 7. Find Patient (s) Part 1 On your home page to your upper left there is a tab labeled “find Patients” by clicking the tab you are taken to the find a patient features. There are many more features not covered.

Find Patient (s) Part 2 After clicking on the “find patients ” tab on your home page a new window is open where you can search for patient (s) records swiftly using different modes of search criteria ( 1 ) such as, last name, first name, age, gender, billing ID just to name a few. After you click “find patient (s)” ( 2 ) a list appears below ( 3 ) then you would click on the patient you were seeking or open chart. You could have multiple patient’s appear if lets say you input just a last name. The more specific info you input the narrower the list appears. This feature allows you to either access patients charts or start a office visit. There are many more features not covered . 1 3 2
9. Start a office visit A B Once you found the patient you were searching for you then click on “start office visit” or open chart ( A- 1 ) and a the “Start office visit” window will open ( B ). In the start office visit window you will indicate for which Doctor ( B - 2 ) the patient will see in case you have multiple Physicians, in which room you placed the patient ( B - 3 ) and what type of visit ( B - 4 ) such as sick visit, follow up, well visit and many more options. Once you click open ( B - 5 ) the system will automatically update the designated Physician’s home page in real time and any one else that has access to this feature and information network wide. Patient’s Main Chart Part 1 In the patient’s main chart the Physician, nurse or any one else that is authorized can scroll down or up to view a complete history of visit types, notes made during past examination ( 1 ), significant medical history ( 2 ), lab reports history, medication history and a lot more. The tabs to your left are similar to the ones you have on your home page with the exception that they contain only medical information specific to the chart that is open ( 3 ) There are many more features not covered. Patient’s Main Chart Part 2 If you do not wish to view all notes but rather for example you wish to see just the lab reports/blood work those from the past and maybe a new one that just came in, which has not yet been viewed by you, you would then click on the “Labs” or “Blood Work” tab ( 1 ). If you wish to look at a specific past visit you would click on the date ( 2 ) and only those note for that date will be viewed. 1 2 There are many more features not covered .
12. Lab or Blood Work Reports A B If you wish to view a new or past Lab or Blood Work report you would click on the tab labeled Lab or Blood Work ( A - 1 ) and a new window will open with past and new reports. Once you have located the report you wish to view, you will have a complete report to view ( B - 2 ). After reviewing either with patient, in your personal office, from your home or any other location you will then make an annotation for a new report regarding the report such as “ Looks good” or “ Cholesterol is too high ( B - 3 ) 2 3 There are many more features not covered . 1
13. Managing your emails- part 1 By clicking on the message tab to your left on your home page a window with a list of emails will pop up listing the name of the persons that sent you emails ( 1 ) by clicking on any of the names the email message dialog box will open (next slide). You can print your unread messages for later ( 2 ) compose a new message ( 3 ) or close the box ( 4 ). 1 2 3 4

Managing your emails (Message dialog box)- part 2 Your dialog box allows you to read and compose new emails ( 1 ) if the message is an in-office communication or with a patient being accessed from the patients charts or anywhere else the system will electronically pull in the patients name and info ( 2 ) you also have the option to have a record of the email included in the patients charts ( 3 ) or copied to the chart ( 4 ).
